Part of #539, following your answer there: the Terminal's release version follows the package version.

TerminalNightly.yml released the self-contained builds (zips for seven runtimes, and .debs) to AngouriMathLab when Sources/Terminal/VERSION changed on master. That file still read 1.0.0.6. Now:

  • The workflow fires on release: published, the event that runs Nuget.yml. It reads the version from the release's tag the same way (the tag without its v, validated as X.Y.Z[-prerelease]) and releases the Terminal under v<version>. So publishing 2.6.0 releases the packages and a 2.6.0 Terminal together.
  • Sources/Terminal/VERSION is removed. pack-deb-linux.sh takes the version from TERMINAL_VERSION, which the workflow sets, and fails with a message if it is unset.
  • Run by hand, it packs the version given in its new version input, 0.0.0 by default, and releases only with release: true, as before. A pull request that touches the workflow or its scripts builds and packs 0.0.0, so this PR's own run exercises the build and packing, not the release step.
  • The tag reaches the script through env, not by interpolating ${{ }} into the shell.
  • The workflow is renamed "Terminal release", since it no longer builds nightly. The file name is kept, so its run history stays with it.

The Terminal bundles the in-repo AngouriMath.Interactive through a ProjectReference, so a Terminal released at the release commit carries that release's library, and the shared version is accurate.

The self-contained builds and .debs were released to AngouriMathLab when
Sources/Terminal/VERSION changed on master, and that file still read 1.0.0.6.
They are now released on the event that publishes the packages,
`release: published`, under the version Nuget.yml reads from the release's tag,
so a 2.6.0 release carries a 2.6.0 Terminal. VERSION is gone, and
pack-deb-linux.sh takes the version from the workflow. Run by hand, the workflow
packs the version it is given and releases only when asked; a pull request packs
0.0.0.
