The Terminal's builds went to a release on AngouriMathLab, made with LAB_ACCESS_TOKEN. Now they're attached to the AngouriMath release that triggered the run, so the Lab can be archived after 2.6.0 (#1649).

  • TerminalRelease is a job of its own. It downloads the build job's artifact and runs gh release upload --clobber with the workflow's own token. It has contents: write but checks out nothing, so no code from the repository runs with that token. The build job is now contents: read.
  • Run by hand with release, it attaches the builds to the existing release of the version asked for.
  • A pull request still builds and packs without attaching anything, as this one does.

Once this is merged, nothing uses LAB_ACCESS_TOKEN, and it can be deleted from the repository's secrets. When 2.6.0 has the builds attached, the README's download link moves to this repository's releases.

Part of #1649.

They were released to AngouriMathLab, with a token for that repository. They are now attached
to the release that triggered the run, by a job of their own that can write to this repository
and runs none of its code, so the build job keeps a read-only token.

Part of #1649.

The Lab's content, which seem to be C++ and notebooks, are verified migrated to main repo already, right?

Not all of it, no. I compared each of Lab's branches with master:

  • C++. The source is here: Sources/Wrappers/AngouriMath.CPP.Exporting and .Importing, their tests, Sources/Samples/CPlusPlusPlayground, CPPBuild.yml and CPPTest.yml. The distribution isn't. The website's C++ quickstart fetches Lab's cpp-release branch, and its CMakeLists downloads the binaries of Lab's 0.0.0-poc release, built in May 2021. CPPBuild.yml keeps its builds as workflow artifacts only, so nothing here publishes newer ones.
  • Notebooks. Not migrated. Lab's try branch has an F# tutorial of 68 cells, with plotting, and a C# notebook of 9 cells. Here there are two samples of 5 cells each in Sources/Samples.
  • The try branch is also the Binder setup behind the README's Try button. It holds AngouriGamma too, a WPF demo of the limit, simplifier and solver that exists nowhere else.
  • Lab's main branch has articles.md and we-thank.md.

This PR moves only the Terminal's builds. I've put the rest on #1689's checklist, so Lab isn't archived until each has a home here.

AngouriGamma should be migrated to a web app for v3.1, and redesigned according to #1649 (comment) alongside the existing website.

Filed as #1692 in 3.1, beside the website, and ticked on #1689's checklist: its source stays readable in the archived Lab until then.
