The gateway has priced /v1/search at a flat $0.08 per call since 2026-09-29 (SEARCH_PRICE_PER_CALL_USD). This server still reserved and advertised $0.025 × max_results:

  • the default call reserved $0.2645 against a $0.081 charge (3×), and a 50-source call reserved $1.3145 (16×), so agents got blocked on searches their budget could afford
  • the tool description, skills/search, skills/blockrun, skills/surf and the README told agents search was expensive and to ask for fewer sources

Live 402 quotes, 2026-10-06: Base amount 81000 and Solana 80000 at max_results 1, 10 and 50.

Changes: the reserve is now withTxFee(0.08) = $0.082 at any size, never below the charge. test/search-cost.test.ts is repinned flat. The docs are corrected. The schema-token rows moved with the shorter description. Bumped to 0.54.1.

npm test: 1371 pass, 0 fail. Not published to npm.

The gateway repriced /v1/search to a flat $0.08 on 2026-09-29. This server
kept reserving $0.025 x max_results (3x over at the default, 16x at 50) and
told agents search was expensive by default. Live 402s 2026-10-06: Base 81000,
Solana 80000 at every max_results. Reserve is now withTxFee(0.08).
