   Thanks for the report — the hook no longer blocks Read as of c29e6d5 ("replace blocking Claude PreToolUse gate with non-blocking augmenter"), shipped in v0.7.0. The augmenter is scoped to Grep/Glob and is non-blocking, so the edit-loop you described should not happen.

   If you still see Claude Code stuck on the latest release, please re-open with the exact hook log lines and tool sequence.
