Blog | DevRel Guide to Slack and Community Size Metrics | Tools Catalog #80
This is related to the Tools Catalog project. We'd like to have a blog post that explains how to gather metrics from Slack, Discord, etc. as a measure of community size and growth.
This should be a very pragmatic how-to / tutorial where the reader is a DevRel or DevRel-adjacent person who wants to understand trends and health of their community as it relates to communication platform tools.
what metrics to use from the platform
how to get it
how to track it over time
how to present it to stakeholders
examples of good benchmarks could be interesting
So for example, if it was Slack, this how-to would talk about the analytics that slack provides, how to pull that data out, and give examples of a few communities where the data can be shared. Same for Discord would be ideal.
