Add Drag & Drop / Right Click to Customize to the Sidebar #5523
I have searched for my feature proposal and have not found a work-in-progress/duplicate/resolved/discarded issue.
This improvement refers to an existing feature. If you want to suggest a new feature, please use this template.
This improvement is not a bug. If you want to report a bug, please use this template.
Describe the improvement
Now that there are more buttons in the sidebar, maybe a firefox-like "customize toolbar" feature or something that allows you to add / drop any button you like directly would be a nice addition.
Describe how this improvement could help users
That eliminates the need for a separate "enable software catalog" switch or the equivalent if any additional buttons were to be added in the future. It also makes the workflow way more intuitive.
I've already added support for reordering pages in the sidebar via drag and drop in version 2026.3.2.
Is this what you're looking for, or did you have something else in mind?

Hello. I'm aware that there is a drag to reorder feature in the newest release.
This issue is mostly about extending that behavior so any button can be added / removed through a similar way.
