I believe we are looking for a solution that is more convenient. I setup OpenSpec in Zed but it wasn't pretty, an official support would be great for all of us who are on Zed.
I found a way for adding openspec to Zed Agent. Zed Agent currently uses .rules directory, I just moved files from .github/prompts generated by openspec init for GitHub copilot, then rename files by removing .prompt.md and rename all /opsx: to @opsx- in files. Seems like It works.

You can use OpenSpec with Zed already. Init openspec to your directory then refer your AI to openspec/agents.md to begin the process.
