Short Description: High-performance, open-source cryptocurrency miner supporting Monero and multiple CPU architectures, with an easy-to-deploy Docker image for CasaOS.
As a CasaOS user, XMRig would help me easily deploy and manage a cryptocurrency miner on my Raspberry Pi home server. The Docker-based setup is especially useful because it makes configuring and running XMRig much easier through the CasaOS interface, without having to manually manage containers, SSH into the server, configure everything from the command line, or run the executable manually.
The image provides native CPU builds for both linux/amd64 and linux/arm64, making it suitable for both x86_64 home servers and ARM64 devices such as Raspberry Pi.
A versioned image tag should be preferred when reproducible deployments are required, while latest can be used for users who want automatic updates.
XMRig configuration should allow users to specify their mining pool, wallet address, worker name, CPU thread count, and other mining settings.
A persistent config.json mount would be useful for advanced users who want to retain their XMRig configuration across container updates.
CPU resource limits should be configurable through CasaOS, especially on Raspberry Pi and other low-power hardware.
No inbound ports are required for normal mining operation because XMRig connects outbound to the selected mining pool.
The official XMRig project supports x86/x64, ARMv7, ARMv8 and RISC-V CPU backends.
