basically just me rebuilding random cli tools to figure out how they actually work.
i use stuff like wc, cat, grep, etc all the time and at some point realized i don't actually know what half of them are doing under the hood lol.
so yeah, i'm building shitty versions of them.
they'll probably be slower, buggier, missing half the features and generally worse than the tools they're copying, but that's kinda the point. i'm learning.
also probably the least glamorous thing to be doing in 2026. everyone is building AI agents and i'm here figuring out how wc counts newlines.
AI can probably write all of these better than me too lol.
whatever.
i'll keep adding stuff as i learn.
