update reading and writing rdl files to allow binding to named outputs #300
Update BinaryWriter, BinaryReader, AsciiWrite, and AsciiReader in scene_rdl2 to deal with the addition of output names on binding
Output name should probably be optional for backward compatibility. It can probably be left off when binding to a shader which only has one output.
Question
What should happen if no output name is provided and the object being bound to has more than one output?
I've started looking at this and it's less obvious than I expected how to extend the rdla syntax for optionally naming an output to bind to. Currently bind() can be:
bind(shaderObject)
or
bind(shaderObject, value)
If the output was unconditional then I would expect the arguments to change to
bind(shaderObject, output)
or
bind(shaderObject, output, value)
but if the output is optional then I'm not sure how to distinguish between
bind(shaderObject, output)
and
bind(shaderObject, value)
