  • fixed exec on python script
  • enhanched retry to python urllib from loop
  • updated Severity on Bug Advisories to N/A instead of None
  • fixed variable default assignment from None to "" as they are string typed
  • added Container files for python and the shell based version using project HummingBird images

Container Build instructions

For the python version execute

podman build -f Containerfile-python -t your-registry/your-org/your-repo:python-version

For the bash/shell version execute

podman build -f Containerfile-shell -t your-registry/your-org/your-repo:shell-version

Running the rh_errata_monitor with the container images

  • for state either create a Podman volume or a directory to mount at /app
  • copy your filters.conf into the volume or mount it like -v ./filters.conf:/app/filters.conf:Z
podman run -ti --rm --name rh_errate_monitor -v ./filters.conf:/app/filters.conf:Z \
  your-registry/your-org/your-repo:shell-version --state /tmp/.errata_state.json ....
#
podman run -ti --rm --name rh_errate_monitor -v ./filters.conf:/app/filters.conf:Z \
  your-registry/your-org/your-repo:python-version --state /tmp/.errata_state.json ....

Copy your state into the podman volume or mount a directory with the state and the filter into /app to keep the state across container lifetime.
