#178 disabled stream-DSE tests because it relies on a newer MLIR-AIE version with syntax-breaking changes that Stream did not yet support. As soon as we update Stream-DSE, re-enable the tests.
Status update: the #222 Graph-based LM rewrite went further than disabling these tests — it removed the whole stream-dse integration. iron/common/stream/{hardware,mapping,ops,workload}.py, iron/operators/swiglu_prefill_stream/{op,reference,stream_design}.py, and requirements_stream.txt are all gone as of 2530c40. The last commit where they still exist is b3ba3cf (git show b3ba3cf:iron/operators/swiglu_prefill_stream/op.py, etc.) — that's the reference copy to restore from if someone picks this back up.
Re-enabling needs more than restoring those files, since the operator/build model changed underneath them:
swiglu_prefill_stream's op.py built on OperatorSequence and share_designs/design_key grouping from the pre-Graph-based Language Models #222 model; it would need porting onto the current iron.Graph/Operator/CompiledGraph layer (iron/common/graph/, iron/common/declare/) the way flm.GEMM and the rest of iron/operators/flm/ were ported, not a straight restore.
requirements_stream.txt pinned stream-dse>=1.13.11,<1.15; that pin predates the current mlir_aie==1.4.5.dev64+g843e9c3 / llvm-aie==22.0.0.2026101901 pair, so compatibility with stream-dse's pure-Python AIE codegen (xdsl-aie, snax-mlir via stream-setup-aie) needs rechecking against the current toolchain before anything else.
Worth deciding up front whether DSE-driven fusion still earns its keep against the new Operator/Graph model's own fusion story, or whether this is better left retired — that's a scoping question before any porting work starts.
Leaving open as the tracker for that porting work, rather than closing.
