Add API Support for Filtering Unscheduled DAGs #53741

Closed

Description

@AryanK1511

Description

Add the ability to filter DAGs based on their scheduling status, specifically to identify unscheduled DAGs (those with schedule_interval=None).

Proposed Solution

Add a new query parameter is_scheduled to filter DAGs based on their scheduling status.

Use case/motivation

Currently, there is no way to filter DAGs based on whether they are scheduled or not. This makes it difficult to identify and manage DAGs that are meant to be triggered manually or through external systems. Once this is implemented, the UI filter functionality will be built on top of this.

    @shreyaskj-0710 We are unassigning you from this issue as part of our updated assignment policy.

    This is not meant to discourage your contribution — quite the opposite! You are still very welcome to work on this issue and submit a PR for it. Simply comment that you are working on it and open a PR when ready.

    We found that formal assignments were not working well, as they often prevented others from contributing when the assignee was not actively working on the issue.

    Adding some context around this:

    A PR for this issue stalled as it was recommended to wait for the ability for API support for filtering Dags on timetable type. #58852 has been merged, which should make the desired functionality for this filtering easier.

    I'm going to try to knock this issue out as part of my Airflow Summit talk if The People would be so kind as to let me take this one :)

    @RNHTTR Just assigned you, that's great topic for the talk. In the mean time I'll close related PRs.
