New unsaved files and relative imports now reach the checker without creating anything on disk. Cancelling a pending async rule rejects the lint call with the caller’s reason instead of waiting forever.
Accepted edits are assembled once at their original UTF-16 offsets. On my local 1 MB / 4,000-edit reproducer this went from 246 ms to about 2–3 ms, with the same checksum. Conflict priority and boundary insertions stay unchanged. This is the lint tool, not the JS reference runtime.

Checked: 133 lint tests, 54/54 repo gate and a separate public-API run for all three failures. The combined typecheck still reports the same two pre-existing bend.ts errors as untouched d194597; that protected file is unchanged.
