    What hardware configuration do you have? Have you checked you've installed the according drivers?

    Yeah I have a feeling that your current setup doesn't support Vulkan. You might need to update your drivers. Maybe you need to update your os.

    Because this is Windows 7, it is likely limited to DirectX 11, even though Intel HD Graphics 630 should be able to handle DX12/Vulkan on Windows 10 (edit: Vulkan is also supported Windows 7, but that probably requires updating your OEM Intel drivers first). Currently, Bevy doesn’t have have a BackendBit enabled that would allow fallback to DX11.

    https://docs.rs/wgpu/0.6.2/wgpu/struct.BackendBit.html#associatedconstant.PRIMARY

    let instance = wgpu::Instance::new(wgpu::BackendBit::PRIMARY);
    let adapter = instance
    .request_adapter(&wgpu::RequestAdapterOptions {
    power_preference: match options.power_pref {
    WgpuPowerOptions::HighPerformance => wgpu::PowerPreference::HighPerformance,
    WgpuPowerOptions::Adaptive => wgpu::PowerPreference::Default,
    WgpuPowerOptions::LowPower => wgpu::PowerPreference::LowPower,
    },
    compatible_surface: None,
    })
    .await
    .expect("Unable to find a GPU! Make sure you have installed required drivers!");

    One path forward would be to enable DX11 backend and see if it resolves this issue, though note that text is currently rendered incorrectly when DX11 is enabled #758

    hi, @memoryruins , would you please teach me how to enable DX11 backend because my gpu does not support vulkan?
