   Thanks for the report. Did you install with pip install python-casacore or with conda install python-casacore? In case you did the latter, the issue would be best reported at https://github.com/conda-forge/python-casacore-feedstock

   This was with conda install conda-forge::python-casacore on an Apple Silicon Macbook. I'll raise an issue in the right place now
