Feature request: restrict character of GL(n,C) to finite subgroup #6765

Any n-dimensional representation of a finite group G can be thought of as a restricted representation of the defining representation of GL(n,C) to G. What I would like is a function that takes a degree-n character of G to the character of G restricted from an irreducible representation of GL(n,C) given by its highest weight.
