The plugin runs an HTTP API on 127.0.0.1:8080 that lets AI assistants control Gephi Desktop through the Model Context Protocol. A companion MCP server on PyPI (gephi-mcp) translates MCP tool calls from clients like Claude into requests against this API, covering graph construction, statistics, layouts, appearance, filtering, and export.
Security posture: binds to localhost only, validates the Host header against DNS rebinding, and sends no CORS headers. Includes 39 JUnit tests, which run in the build.
Category: Tool. License: Apache 2.0. The project launched in public beta this June.
Updated and merged with current master-forge. Three notes for whoever picks this up.
The earlier failing check was not from this plugin. It was streaming-impl hitting The used JUnit Version 4.10 is not supported anymore under surefire 3.6.0-M1, which also broke the blueskyGephi builds on June 30 and July 1. That was fixed upstream in 98491fc when StreamingImpl moved to JUnit 4.13.2, and merging current master-forge picks the fix up. My module was never reached in that run, it was reported as SKIPPED.
An earlier revision of this branch had modules/BlueskyGephi commented out in the root pom. That was a mistake on my side while resolving a merge, and it is corrected. The root pom now differs from master-forge by a single added line for modules/GephiMcp.
mvn -B package completes with BUILD SUCCESS across the full reactor locally on the current head, with 39 tests passing in this module. The workflow run for that commit is waiting on maintainer approval, so the check will stay unreported until someone approves it.

This adds the Gephi AI (MCP) plugin, the Gephi side of the gephi-ai project (https://github.com/MattArtzAnthro/gephi-ai).
