Support Prisma Integration in Cloudflare / D1 #15466
At the moment we have the official sentry for Cloudflare library hooked up using just the D1 integration, but were wondering if there are plans/it is even possible to have the prisma integration as well?
Solution Brainstorm
If possible, copy over the prisma integration from node?
Hi, we don't have any near-term plans for supporting Prisma on CF. Prisma instrumentation depends on OTEL and we are currently not using OTEL for cloudflare due to compat reasons. I'll put this in our backlog.
thanks very much! it does seem to have some issues. for me it does not look the same as it does in a node prisma integration.
see this image from the cloudflare version. did you see anything like this? it's hard to list all the things missing, i hope it's clear enough it's missing db spans and other expected spans, happy to send further details on discord or something if you're interested, but i understand it's not exactly a supported feature so some bugs aren't unexpected 😋
An update for others. The Prisma integration looks like that it works. It seems however, there are Prisma engines, which add more spans, that are not enabled for Cloudflare (at least not this Rust engine). That is why it might look like there are less spans here
In case the changelog were skipped. This is actually possible with the new /nodejs_compat entrypoint. So you can just opt-in and do following now (remember to change the compatibility_flag in the wrangler.jsonc to nodejs_compat):

Great idea to move over to discord. About this case (if there are any updates regarding this I'll post it here as well)
