Change name of "Battery" sensor to "Charger" #171

Open

Description

@Friptick

This seems like quite an oversight. Maybe I missed something.

UPDATE: The problem is that the "Battery" sensor is misnamed. It should be "Charger" (or "AC").

There is no event for "Device is plugged in" (i.e. connected to AC)! "Battery is charging" is not the same thing and gives different results.

Thank you for your work.

PS: maybe a "Battery not discharging" state would be a workaround. Presumably this is equivalent to "Plugged in to AC". Thanks for considering.

Zkuste :Typ nabíječky. Je tam na výběr Akumulátor, USB, Bezdrátová.

As described, the problem is not the type of charger, the problem is that the event detects the charging state, not the connection state. In other words:

    1. Connect charger (USB, whatever) => Event activated (because battery is charging)
    2. Battery finishes charging => Event deactivated BUT I DO NOT WANT IT DEACTIVATED

    What I want:

    1. Connect charger => Event activated
    2. Disconnect charger => Event deactivated

I don't understand why this is not available. Tasker, Macrodroid, Easer, Automation, they all have it. Maybe I'm still missing something.

Není potřeba nic dělat, pokud odpojíte nabíječku, tak už událost nepoběží a aktivuje se další událost podle parametrů. Můžete do události u nabíjení dát restart události.

That is not the problem. I have edited the explanation.

Just changed the name of this issue. There is still a problem but it is only about terminology.

The way to get a "Plugged in" event is to select Battery sensor > Charging > Do not use together with Battery sensor > Charger type > USB + Accumulator.

In other words, the "sensor" is not detecting the battery, it is detecting the cable! Took me weeks to discover how to make this work. Best to change the name so it is more clear. Thanks for your work.
