VERDICT: APPROVE
Independent non-author review of the bounded CI change at head fabc7d4 (tree cb709621cd1502e4611c117d7273e75e1466fc6e), against main 1e87030 (tree 3b71c1f9097216ca375f859b16bdc9b103033949). This makes the repository materially better by executing its existing native agent/Python provider-contract gate in both OS jobs; the previous fmt, clippy, workspace-test and Linux Docker gates are preserved.
Evidence: I read the full diff, both complete touched files, repo review/test-gate guidance, current-main history and the open-PR overlap list. CI run https://github.com/jadenfix/temp.js/actions/runs/38330723719 genuinely executed the new gate in Ubuntu job 115079725175 and macOS job 115079725299. Both logs identify merge commit b09a02c; I fetched it and verified its tree is identical to the reviewed head tree.
Each OS passed fmt, clippy, 292 workspace tests (plus one explicitly ignored generated doctest), locked native CLI build and the provider gate. The source gate runs real beater agent subprocesses against two loopback SSE fixtures, executes the embedded summarize_numbers Python tool, checks mean 2.8/count 5, two provider requests, canonical llm/tool/llm completed SQLite rows, tool ID/name mapping and persisted streaming partials. Linux additionally built and started the generated runtime image and passed its cold-start/auth gate; macOS intentionally skips Docker.
Independent local checks: node --check passed; missing-native-binary negative control exits 1 rather than reporting success; git diff --check and git fsck --no-dangling passed; checkout remained clean. This environment lacks a built native CLI, so I did not independently rerun the positive native path locally; positive E2E evidence is the reviewed hosted execution above.
Blockers: none for this narrow CI delta.
Nits:
- .github/workflows/ci.yml:59 pins Node 22, while ecosystem guidance prefers Active LTS Node 24 for tooling. Align or document the tested compatibility reason in a follow-up.
- The gate removes its temporary journals by default; retaining a no-secret receipt/artifact in CI would make later demo provenance easier. No media exists at this head.
Durable guidance: loopback fixtures validate protocol/runtime execution, not live-provider availability, model quality, crash recovery or production performance. The current gate does not exercise retry/error responses; do not extend its success claim to those paths solely from the skill's broader description.
Overlap: #143 is the only open PR returned for this repository; main does not already contain this CI wiring.
Skills applied: review-pr and beater-test-gates; native provider conformance plus Docker is the appropriate hosted gate selection.
Portfolio status: functional CI change CLEAR; demo/current-main completion remains HOLD until actual source-pinned GIF/MP4, provenance/full decode/remote blob checks, clean-checkout CI and post-main verification exist. No merge, push, close, retarget, deployment or competing fix was performed. Session100e79c20fa2 remains sole merger.

The repository already has a no-secret provider-conformance gate that drives the real CLI agent loop and embedded Python tools against loopback Anthropic/OpenAI-compatible streaming fixtures. CI previously ran workspace tests and Docker startup without this integration gate.
Build the native CLI explicitly, provision Node22, and execute the existing provider-conformance gate on Linux and macOS. The existing Docker cold-start check remains unchanged. This exercises real runtime execution and canonical SQLite journal behavior without spending live provider credits.
Local validation: pinned dependency graph resolved; standalone Connect crate9tests and actual manifest-generation CLI passed. Full V8/Wasmtime runtime build is delegated to this PR's real GitHub runners because the shared local disk cannot satisfy the repository's documented build-space requirement. Until this CI finishes, full agent/native-runtime recording stays HOLD. Existing exactmain CI28860655878 passed both OS jobs, but its old detailed logs have expired, and GitHub rejects rerunning runs older than a month; this PR produces fresh execution evidence.
No live provider or model-quality claims are made by loopback protocol fixtures.
