Summary

  • disable every strictly recorded third-party client integration before deleting OpenCodex ownership and snapshot state
  • validate all recorded client IDs before the first mutation and abort removal on unreadable records, drift, unsafe files, or failed compensation
  • run cleanup under the final client-lifecycle lease immediately before config removal
  • preserve recovery state when any external client cannot be restored safely
  • document the uninstall ordering decision in ADR-0107

Verification

  • focused uninstall lifecycle and real Pi integration regressions: 6 passed, 0 failed, 47 assertions
  • structure SSOT gate: passed
  • privacy scan: passed
  • checks ran one at a time with CPUQuota at 75% or lower, MemoryMax at 1536 MiB or lower, no swap, low I/O weight, and bounded task counts
  • full local suite and build were intentionally not run under the conservative host ceiling; exact-head CI remains required

Compatibility and recovery

  • a successful uninstall removes only fragments proven by the existing integration writer and preserves unrelated user configuration
  • a conflict leaves both the external file and OpenCodex ownership/snapshot state in place for retry
  • this reuses existing per-client writer locks and compensation instead of introducing a second file-rewrite path
  • no Go counterpart was identified for this TypeScript CLI/integration path; reviewer confirmation is requested before merge

Checklist

  • Scope stays focused and avoids unrelated cleanup.
  • Docs or release notes were updated when needed.
  • Security-sensitive changes were reviewed for secrets, auth, and unsafe defaults.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Uninstall now disables recorded owned integrations, including integrations in registered Aside profiles, before removing OpenCodex configuration.
    • If ownership records are unreadable, profiles are unregistered, or cleanup encounters a conflict or error, uninstall stops and retains configuration and remaining recovery records.
    • Cleanup proceeds sequentially; earlier integrations may remain disabled if a later cleanup fails.
  • Documentation
    • Updated integration guidance with uninstall cleanup, recovery, and troubleshooting details.

@lidge-jun @Wibias Please review the uninstall recovery ordering and conflict-preservation behavior. The change reuses the existing coordinated integration writer and keeps ownership/snapshots when any client cannot be restored. @codex review

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

Uninstall now disables integrations with recorded ownership before removing OpenCodex config state. If cleanup fails or ownership remains, uninstall stops before config removal. The change adds guarded enumeration of Aside profile stores, injectable cleanup dependencies, tests for success and refusal paths, and documentation of the recovery sequence.

Changes

Uninstall integration cleanup

Layer / File(s) Summary
Ownership validation and cleanup
src/cli/uninstall-integrations.ts, src/integrations/aside-profile-context.ts
Adds cleanup that reads ownership records, validates Aside profile registrations, disables targets in deterministic order, and checks that ownership records are retired. Aside profile-store enumeration rejects unsafe directory names and guards paths.
Uninstall ordering and recovery validation
src/cli/uninstall-client-state.ts, tests/cli/uninstall.test.ts, docs-site/src/content/docs/guides/integrations.md, structure/clients/integrations.md, structure/decisions/ADR-0107-uninstall-integration-recovery.md, structure/INDEX.md, structure/manifest.json
Uninstall awaits integration cleanup before removing config state. Tests cover cleanup errors, restoration, conflicts, unreadable records, and missing profile registrations. Documentation describes abort conditions and possible partial cleanup. The structure index and manifest associate the client integrations document with src/cli/.

Security Architecture Review

Security architecture risk: 🔵 Low · up to 7c6e1

The new ordering improves recovery safety: uninstall checks recorded ownership, restores owned client fragments, and stops before deleting recovery state if cleanup fails. Concurrent integration changes remain a coordination question, so the review does not treat the new ordering as an absolute guarantee.

Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.

Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — The newly reached mutation surface is the set of recorded third-party client config files, including registered Aside profiles, plus their local ownership and snapshot stores; the inspected production caller is the uninstall path.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — Persisted ownership and discovered profile paths are checked before they authorize a third-party file mutation; the profile I/O facade then constrains and revalidates that mutation.
  • inferred — The lifecycle lease protects uninstall's final sequence, but the inspected integration write path takes a different, per-config lock. Shared exclusion against a separate writer after the final ownership check is not established.

Resilience and Maintainability Implications

  • observed — The config remover is synchronous after awaited cleanup, limiting same-process interleaving at that handoff. It can still return a partial result if owned-state deletion fails.

Hardening Proposals

  • proposed — If successful uninstall must guarantee that no integration can be newly recorded before recovery-state deletion, make integration writers and the final check-to-removal sequence share an admission or exclusion mechanism across processes.

src/cli/uninstall-integrations.ts:39 - 읽는 파일은 연동 폴더 맨 위의 records.json이에요. Aside의 추가 프로필 기록은 integrations/aside-profiles/번호/records.json에 따로 있어요.

src/cli/uninstall-integrations.ts:52 - 앞 프로그램이 성공하면 그 기록은 이미 빠져요.
