The server writes supplied effort to the role configuration and mirrors supported values to omo.jsonc. The role-list response includes each role’s effort. ChangesRole reasoning effort

- Around line 669-670: Update the paragraph following “Pick a model on a row and
press Save” to clarify that model-only dashboard Save does not write reasoning
effort; state that the reasoning write is triggered by `ocx agent roles set`
with `--effort` or a PUT request that includes `effort`.

…and omo.jsonc GET /api/codex-agent-roles now returns each role's model_reasoning_effort, and a PUT with an effort also writes it into [codex].agents.<role>.reasoning, the level LazyCodex applies on its next install. Codex's none becomes LazyCodex's off; a level LazyCodex lacks, such as ultra, stays in the role file and removes any older reasoning from omo.jsonc so a stale level is not reapplied.
…ashboard Save The Save paragraph read as if the dashboard also mirrored an effort; this PR has no effort picker, and a model-only Save leaves both effort values alone.

…onc (carry #6801) (#6823) GET /api/codex-agent-roles returns each role's effort, PUT with an effort also writes "[codex]".agents.<role>.reasoning in omo.jsonc (none -> off; a level LazyCodex lacks removes a stale reasoning; a model-only save keeps it), and ocx agent roles set accepts --effort. An empty --effort is refused before any request, and the omo.jsonc contract in structure/clients/integrations.md describes the reasoning mirror. Carries #6801. Summary
A LazyCodex role runs on two values from its file under
$CODEX_HOME/agents:modelandmodel_reasoning_effort. The role API andocx agent rolesonly carried the model, so the effort could be changed only by editing the TOML, and LazyCodex's own[codex].agents.<role>.reasoningin~/.omo/omo.jsoncwas never written. On the nextnpx lazycodex-ai installLazyCodex rebuilds the role file from omo.jsonc, so an effort set only in the TOML does not survive it.Change
GET /api/codex-agent-rolesreturns each role'seffort(the rootmodel_reasoning_effort, ornull).PUT /api/codex-agent-roles/{role}with aneffortalready wrote it to the TOML; it now also writes[codex].agents.<role>.reasoning. Codex'snonebecomes LazyCodex'soff. A level LazyCodex has no value for (ultra) stays in the role file only, and any olderreasoningis removed from omo.jsonc so LazyCodex does not reapply a stale level. LazyCodex's accepted levels areREASONING_LEVELSin its bundle:off minimal low medium high xhigh max.ocx agent roles set <role> <model> --effort <level>sends the effort;ocx agent rolesprints it next to the model.structure/subagents.mdand the generated skill surface describe the effort half. The omo.jsonc rules are unchanged: never created, a file with comments is left alone, and the role TOML write stands when the mirror is skipped.
Verification
bun test tests/clients/omo-role-models.test.ts tests/server/codex-agent-role-routes.test.ts tests/server/codex-role-auto-assign-routes.test.ts: 31 pass. New cases: reasoning is set, kept or removed with the model; Codex efforts map to LazyCodex levels (nonetooff, ultrato none); a PUT withhighlands in both files, and a laterultrastays in the TOML and drops the stalereasoning.bun test tests/cli/cli-headless-parity.test.ts -t 'documented CLI resource': pass.bun x tsc --noEmit,bun run skill:surface:check, bun run structure:check: exit 0.Rebased onto dev at 13:27 KST; the tests and typecheck above were rerun at that head. No GUI change; the effort picker for the role table follows in a separate PR once this lands.
