Summary

Adds Atlas Cloud as an ordinary API-key preset (atlascloud, OpenAI Chat adapter, https://api.atlascloud.ai/v1), wired the same way as the Modelflare and TokenLab presets: ocx init, ocx provider add atlascloud, the dashboard Add provider picker and API-key login all derive from the one registry entry. Discovery uses the default GET /v1/models envelope; the catalog is public, so it does not validate keys (same as Opper). Four vendor-prefixed models are seeded, with deepseek-ai/deepseek-v4-flash as the default. A same-named custom destination is preserved (preserveCustomDestination).

Disclosure: I work at Atlas Cloud.

Files:

  • src/providers/registry/entries-extended.ts: the atlascloud registry entry
  • docs-site/src/content/docs/guides/providers.md: table row and setup paragraph
  • 8 localized guides/providers.md + 8 getting-started/quickstart.md copies and structure/ops/docs-and-release.md: preset counts recounted from the registry (104 to 105 total, 85 to 86 key-based)
  • tests/providers/atlascloud-provider.test.ts (new), tests/providers/provider-registry-parity.test.ts, scripts/test-layout/layout.json, tests/fixtures/test-layout-expected.json: tests and layout registration

Provider-specific decisions:

  • No sponsor field, no icon asset, no wire overrides: nothing beyond a plain Chat preset.
  • Model ids contain a slash (deepseek-ai/deepseek-v4-flash); routing atlascloud/deepseek-ai/deepseek-v4-flash sends the id upstream unchanged (covered by tests and a live request).
  • I did not add a structure/providers-and-adapters.md section because that file is exactly at its 600-line budget (structure:check); Modelflare also landed without one.

Evidence for a canonical preset (per the contributing guide):

  • Endpoints: chat completions and GET /v1/models at https://api.atlascloud.ai/v1; docs at https://www.atlascloud.ai/docs. Checked 2026-10-14 (recorded in the registry comment).
  • Terms and operating entity: ATLAS CLOUD AI INC., New York, US; legal terms and privacy policy at https://www.atlascloud.ai/privacy (last updated October 8, 2026).
  • Aggregator authorization: I am the operator-side contributor and can supply authorization details for specific upstream vendors on request; I have not attached contracts here.
  • Maintenance owner: the Atlas Cloud team via this PR author's GitHub account (binyangzhu000-sudo); breakage can be reported on this repo and will be picked up.
  • Verification date: 2026-10-14.

Verification

  • bun run typecheck passed.
  • bun run structure:check passed; bun run privacy:scan passed.
  • bun test tests/providers/atlascloud-provider.test.ts tests/providers/provider-registry-parity.test.ts tests/test-layout.test.ts: 96 pass, 1 fail. The one failure (test-layout-tooling verification) is environmental: this machine has Bun 1.3.14/1.4.2 and the suite pins 1.4.3.
  • bun test tests/providers tests/gui: 6912 pass, 152 fail, 16 errors with this change versus 6853 pass, 152 fail, 16 errors on a clean baseline (git stash). Same failures, +59 passing, no new failures (pre-existing failures also tied to the Bun version / local env).
  • Live, through the repo's own code: ocx provider add atlascloud --api-key '${ATLASCLOUD_API_KEY}' then ocx start; POST /v1/chat/completions with atlascloud/deepseek-ai/deepseek-v4-flash (max_tokens 60) returned a completion with reasoning_content (3 of 4 attempts clean; the first hit a transient upstream reset reported as upstream_reset_replay_refused), and POST /v1/responses with the same model returned a response. In-process, validateApiKey("atlascloud", ...) returned true with a real key and gatherRoutedModels discovered 115 Atlas Cloud models from the live catalog.
  • Not run: the full bun run test suite (needs Bun 1.4.3), bun run lint:gui, bun run build:gui, and cross-platform CI.

Checklist

  • Scope stays focused and avoids unrelated cleanup.
  • Docs or release notes were updated when needed.
  • Security-sensitive changes were reviewed for secrets, auth, and unsafe defaults. The preset sends the user's key only to https://api.atlascloud.ai/v1; no key is stored in the repo or tests.

Review readiness checklist

This PR stays in draft until every box below is ticked. Tick all four boxes once the requirements are met:

  • Required local validation passed; commands, results, and any full-suite exception are documented.

  • I pushed my PR to a recent dev commit (at most 10 behind; a maintainer may still ask for the exact tip before merge).

  • I resolved all correct Codex and CodeRabbit findings.

  • My PR is ready for review.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added Atlas Cloud to the built-in provider registry, with model discovery and support for vendor-prefixed models.
  • Documentation
    • Updated the provider catalog and setup guides to reflect 105 built-in presets, including 86 key-based presets. These updates are available across supported documentation languages.

Adds Atlas Cloud (https://api.atlascloud.ai/v1) as an ordinary API-key preset on the OpenAI Chat adapter, mirroring the Modelflare and TokenLab presets. It is offered through ocx init, ocx provider add atlascloud and the dashboard picker. Model discovery uses the default GET /v1/models envelope (public, so it does not validate keys); four vendor-prefixed models are seeded with deepseek-ai/deepseek-v4-flash as the default. A same-named custom destination is preserved.

The provider guide documents setup, and the localized preset counts are recounted to 105 (86 key-based). The new tests cover derived entry points, routing of slash-bearing model ids, destination preservation, discovery parsing and key validation.

Do not treat the public model catalog as API-key validation.

Atlas Cloud’s /v1/models endpoint is public, so an HTTP 200 does not prove that the supplied key is valid. Set apiKeyValidation to "unknown" while retaining live model discovery. Update the test to expect "unknown" for HTTP 200 and test request construction separately.

src/providers/registry/entries-extended.ts:1274 — The new canonical atlascloud destination still lacks the primary-source resale/routing authorization required by MAINTAINERS.md and the preset evidence policy; the description only offers to provide it later. Please add citable authorization evidence for the upstream models this gateway serves, or change this to an inert src/providers/free-directory.ts reference row with an appropriate verification grade. This is the same admission requirement recorded on #6336; TokenLab's owner-approved exception was specific to that provider. Keeping this draft pending evidence or an explicit Atlas-specific owner decision.
