Use webfinger for OIDC parameter discovery #40

Closed

Description

@rhafer

To solve many of the issues our users have with getting OpenCloud to work with different IDPs we
came up with a more generic way for how clients should discover their OIDC setttings (issuer, client_id and scopes). This is described here: https://github.com/opencloud-eu/opencloud/blob/main/docs/adr/0003-oidc-client-config-discovery.md

And implemented in: opencloud-eu/opencloud#2072

Now we need to implement this mechanism in our clients.

    @RichardFevrier

    Hi everyone 👋 I am writing here to beg you consider giving this repo a bit more love and particulary this issue 🙏

    I have followed closely the OIDC/webfinger related issues/PR myself using Authelia as auth backend for OpenCloud and since I cannot access my files on my iOS devices (I know its entirely my fault).

    I usually would have propose my help for the implementation but I haven't done Swift in recent years and seeing guruz (not adding the @ I don't want to bother you with pings) doing the implementation for other platform like Android and the main contributor on this repo, he would be way more efficient to do it his way (can still help for testing tho).

    Now that OpenCloud rolling v6 is out I thought it was the right time to comment here.

    Anyway I hope you can get some time to give this issue a tackle and a new release on the store.

    Thanks for time reading me 😌 best regards.

    It's already in progress. ;-) We just don't have the capacity to move fast with mobile clients at the moment. I hope this will change in a few weeks. 🤞

    Hi @RichardFevrier , the pull request above your comment has the code already pushed to GitHub, but we did not QA it yet :)
    If you have Mac+XCode please feel free to test it and report back.

    (Note that the ios app is two repos, app and sdk)

    If not, I hope we can get this out in the next 2-3 weeks in normal app store.
