The final Copilot review of PR #134 at 11037f01a45a72fa3fc9a8a2b0e24a64cbf1ed12 found that claude-restart-check honors CLAUDE_CURRENT_NATIVE_DIR when reading installed versions, but its running-process detector recognizes native executable paths only when they contain /claude/versions/.

A session launched from a configured directory such as /custom/native/2.1.283 can therefore be missed, suppressing a notice even when a newer sibling exists. This is a late finding tracked separately under the repository's two-round Copilot cap.

Expected follow-up: identify running native executables against the configured directory using canonical paths (Linux /proc/.../exe resolves symlinks), preserve the existing executable replacement checks and default-directory behavior, and add a running-process regression for a custom native directory, including a symlinked directory.

Validation should cover both Linux executable probes and the macOS fallback fixtures without launching or modifying a real Claude installation.
