Quiet unresolved-variable skips and summarize at scan end - #7572
Mutes per-request unresolved-variable warnings by default, counts skips, and prints one end-of-scan summary. Use -log-unresolved to restore per-request details.
This review ran on the open-source allowance, not this organization's plan, because the pull request author doesn't have an assigned seat. Waiting won't change this — ask an organization admin to assign them a seat, or add seats in Billing if every seat is already assigned, then retry.
Some scans can silently stop generating HTTP requests after an unresolved variable, and reused fuzz rules can remain skipped after their variables become available. These are bounded risks, but both should be fixed or explicitly accepted before merging.

Explanation
The title "Quiet unresolved-variable skips and summarize at scan end" matches the main change in the changeset. The PR mutes per-request warnings for unresolved-variable skips by default, counts skipped requests through the new UnresolvedCounter interface, and prints one summary at scan end. The title is specific and does not use vague terms. It omits the new -log-unresolved opt-in flag, which is a secondary detail.

Explanation
The changed code and tests support Issue #3386. The counter interface, CLI option, shared skip helper, protocol integrations, fuzz handling, error sentinel, and tests all implement unresolved-variable skip reporting or its verification. No unrelated change is demonstrated.
Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #3386 requires quieter unresolved-variable logging, a skipped-request count, and a verbose-mode toggle. The changes implement these requirements with unresolvedvars.Skip, UnresolvedCounter, the end-of-scan runner summary, Options.LogUnresolved, and -log-unresolved. The changes also add tests for error classification and counter behavior. However, the issue asks for an investigation of variable evaluation order for the cited https://{{user}}... URL parsing warning. The reviewed changes classify unresolved errors but provide no focused test or code evidence that establishes or fixes this parsing behavior.
Resolution
Add a focused regression test for the cited self-contained URL case. Document the evaluation order and change the request path if needed so an unresolved variable is classified as an unresolved skip instead of producing the raw URL parse warning.

A rabbit hops through templates bright, Counts skipped vars beneath moonlight. Warnings hide unless flags say “show,” Progress ticks as requests go. At scan’s end, the tally sings.

errors returning false. Add a regression test proving an unrelated error
containing “unresolved variables” is not classified as a skip.
