Encapsulate row lifetime and constructor state replay - #7678
Row construction manually restored its accessor after cleanup, and replayed saved constructor state by reconciling dictionaries on every reuse. Scope accessor restoration with a row lifetime helper so it also runs when cleanup unwinds, and capture constructor writes/removals once before method factories can modify their context.
Failure-context selection now compares against the row’s saved enumeration context, encapsulating the same context identity previously held by the local variable.
Document the reference-identity contract: in-place mutable values remain shared, while unchanged inherited keys preserve later method-enumeration replacements and removals. Add regression coverage for initial and refetched constructor state, repeated rejected rows, exception restoration, and exactly-once cleanup with linear temporary-context creation across 64 rejected rows.
The unused streaming builder was removed in #7535; #7637 already made rejected cleanup ownership linear. This change preserves that ownership and the existing private session synchronization boundary.
TestBuilder now uses RowContextLifetime to manage row cleanup and restore the source context. Constructor state changes are captured as replays and applied to test contexts. New tests cover cleanup exceptions, rejected rows, and replay behavior across repeated rows.

Summary
Row-context lifetime and cleanup src/TUnit.Engine/Building/TestBuilder.cs, tests/TUnit.UnitTests/ClassRowCleanupTests.cs
RowContextLifetime manages failure-context claiming, cleanup transfer and release, and source-context restoration. Tests check accessor restoration on exceptions, cleanup callback execution, and cleanup ownership for rejected rows.
ConstructorStateReplay records added, reference-changed, and removed keys. Constructor rows and refetched rows capture and apply the replay. Tests check mutable references, replacements, removals, and repeated rows.
thomhurst/TUnit#7637: Introduced RowCleanupOwner, whose cleanup ownership contract is exercised by the rejected-row tests.
thomhurst/TUnit#7476: Added constructor-row replay and child-context creation that this change updates.
thomhurst/TUnit#7417: Changed constructor-state replay and rejected-row cleanup in the same builder flow.

Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #7454 is the only direct linked issue. Its coding requirements apply, and the diff implements them in src/TUnit.Engine/Building/TestBuilder.cs:
Scoped accessor lifetime, including exceptions [#7454]: The new readonly struct RowContextLifetime restores the accessor to classSourceContext in Dispose. Dispose runs after the finally block, so restoration happens even when ReleaseAsync or temporary-instance disposal throws. The former inline restoration in finally was removed. Cleanup transfer (TransferCleanupToCurrent) and failure-context claim (ClaimFailureContext) also go through the helper.
Failure-context selection [#7454]: ClaimFailureContext calls row.CreateFailureContext(accessor.Current). The row's _enumerationContext is set from classRowEnumerationContext in the UnclaimedClassRow constructor call, which is the same object the removed local classEnumerationContext held. The equivalence holds because _enumerationContext is readonly. CreateFailureContext is not in the diff hunks, so it existed at the merge base. Its body was not readable within the evidence limit. The comparison logic is therefore inferred from the PR description and the constructor call.
One documented, tested constructor-state replay [#7454]: The private ConstructorStateReplay struct captures writes (added or reference-changed entries) and removals (baseline keys absent from the saved bag) once. ApplyTo replays them. Inherited unchanged keys are not written, so later method-enumeration replacements and removals are preserved. Values are not cloned, so in-place mutable values stay shared. The XML comment documents this contract. The Fetch path captures the target's pre-factory baseline before the factory runs, which covers refetched constructor state.
Tests [#7454]: The raw summary lists four new tests in tests/TUnit.UnitTests/ClassRowCleanupTests.cs. They cover constructor replay across repeated rows, lifetime restoration after cleanup failure or exception, and a 64-row rejected-cleanup regression. The PR description reports passing runs in generated and reflection modes. I did not execute these tests. The results rely on the author's report and the summary.
Preserved boundaries [#7454]: The diff does not touch _lifecycleEvents, RowCleanupOwner, or the session synchronization code. The lazy event sharing, independent row state, and private synchronization boundary are unchanged.
Residual uncertainty: The old code replayed the live constructor bag at apply time. The new code uses a snapshot taken at construction. Writes made to the constructor context after construction, for example during temporary-instance creation, would no longer replay to later tests. The author documents the snapshot as intentional. I could not confirm whether any such post-construction write occurs.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The diff changes two files: src/TUnit.Engine/Building/TestBuilder.cs and tests/TUnit.UnitTests/ClassRowCleanupTests.cs. Every change maps to #7454:
RowContextLifetime: accessor restoration and cleanup transfer, required by #7454.
ConstructorStateReplay: the single constructor-state replay implementation, required by #7454.
Removal of the classEnumerationContext local and the inline dictionary reconciliation: replaced by the helper and replay struct, required by #7454.
New tests in ClassRowCleanupTests.cs: regression coverage requested by #7454.
No unrelated behavior, public API, or lifecycle dispatch (#7473) change appears in the diff. The raw summary reports no alterations to exported or public declarations. The PR description states that the unused streaming builder was removed earlier in #7535, so this PR does not repeat that work.

A rabbit checks each row with care It saves the state the rows will share It tracks the keys that leave or change It restores context through the range Then cleanup runs, and all is square
The change looks good, and I found nothing blocking.
What I checked
RowContextLifetime moves the accessor restore into Dispose(). The old code restored the accessor as the last statement of finally, so an exception thrown by DisposeInstanceForMethodDataSourcesAsync or ReleaseAsync skipped it. The using var now runs on every unwind. The restore target is the original classSourceContext, which matches the old behaviour.
ConstructorStateReplay captures the constructor's writes and removals once into immutable lists. Replays no longer read a factory-owned dictionary, and the _rowContext clone and bag-detach workaround goes away. The reference-identity rule is unchanged from the old _constructorBaseline logic: an unchanged inherited key is not treated as a write, so later method-enumeration replacements and removals survive. The new doc comment states this clearly.
Failure-context selection now calls row.CreateFailureContext(accessor.Current), which exists in this head (line 1276). It compares against the row's _enumerationContext instead of the classEnumerationContext captured earlier. The two should be the same object on this path, but I confirmed that only by reading, not by running it.
The new tests cover: initial and refetched constructor state, repeated rejected rows, accessor restore after a cleanup exception, exactly-once cleanup, and the linear context count across 64 rows.
Minor suggestions, non-blocking
RowContextLifetime is a readonly struct that holds three references and is used with using var. That is fine because nothing copies it. Making it internal readonly ref struct would stop an accidental copy or boxing from ever being legal, but only if you don't need it inside the async method. The method is async, so a plain struct is probably the right call. A short comment saying so would help.
ManyRejectedRowsCreateOnlyOneCleanupContextPerOwner counts IsolationUniqueId deltas. That is a precise check on the linear cost, but it is sensitive to any other code that allocates a context. [NotInParallel] covers this, and the comment explains the maths, so I'd keep it as is.
The classEnumerationContext removal and the switch to _enumerationContext are worth a line in the PR description, since they change what the failure-context check compares against.
[Medium impact] The PR appears safe to merge; no actionable issues were found.

Reviewed all review surfaces for 759c0f4. Claude and Codex both report no blockers; Greptile reports no actionable findings, and there are no inline threads.
Claude minor suggestions: retain the plain readonly struct, which spans awaits in the builder; retain the allocation-count regression and its existing exclusivity/math comments; updated the PR description to explain the saved enumeration-context comparison. Verified that the builder resets the accessor to classRowEnumerationContext immediately after constructing UnclaimedClassRow with that same context. No code changes are needed. Promoting this reviewed head to ready; CI and the ready-for-review Claude run must complete before auto-merge can be armed.
Review: Encapsulate row lifetime and constructor state replay
No blocking issues. I checked the diff against the PR head.
What I verified
RowContextLifetime restores classSourceContext through using var. That runs after the finally block, so cleanup still sees the row context, and it now also runs when ReleaseAsync or temporary-instance disposal throws. This matches the old behaviour on the normal path and fixes the unwinding case.
CreateFailureContext compares against _enumerationContext. At the call site this is classRowEnumerationContext, which is also what contextAccessor.Current held when the old classEnumerationContext local was captured. The failure-context selection is therefore equivalent.
ConstructorStateReplay captures writes and removals once, so replay no longer reads a factory's dictionary after capture. This is the same reference-identity semantics as before, and the removal check no longer depends on the live _rowContext bag. The detached-bag handling in FetchAsync is no longer needed because the replay is an immutable snapshot.
The new tests cover the cases that matter: initial and refetched state, repeated rejected rows, restoration on exception, and exactly-once cleanup with linear context creation across 64 rows. The monotonic isolation ID check is a good way to catch nested re-wrapping.
Minor notes (non-blocking)
rowLifetime is declared after InitializeClassDataAsync, so an exception thrown before that point does not restore the accessor. The old code had the same gap because its restore was in the later finally. Moving the declaration directly after the classSourceContext.CreateChild assignment would close it, if you want that robustness.
UnclaimedClassRow now snapshots the constructor state at construction, where it used to hold a live reference to rowContext. This is fine for the current call site because method factories run on the child classRowEnumerationContext, but a short comment saying so would help the next reader.

Change
