19-22: 📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🔵 Trivial | 💤 Low valueAssertion couples the pause count to the loop variable.
The assertion uses
if id == "scan1" { 0 } else { 1 }. This works, but it hides the intent. The second scan has a different command and the same scope, so it relies on the classified ledger keying on(class, tool, scope). Unroll the loop or add a comment so the expected halt on the second refusal is explicit.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

🩺 Stability & Availability | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
One record that fails to deserialize stops scheduling for every thread.
list uses serde_json::from_value(value)? for each record. If one record is corrupt, or was written with an older schema that lacks a required field, list returns an error. service::tick then fails on every 10-second tick, and no autonomous task in the workspace runs again. Several Work fields have no #[serde(default)], so a future schema change can trigger this failure.
Fix: log the bad record and skip it so the rest of the list still loads.

Bound and clear worker reports after review.
worker_reports can contain up to 10 reports of up to 12,000 characters each. Each autonomous continuation passes all reports to claimed.prompt(). This can add about 120,000 characters to one prompt and can exceed the model context limit. Reports also remain after a successful review. The heading is emitted when the list is empty.
Clear reports only after accept_review succeeds. Also omit the empty section and cap the injected text.

Correct the expected recovery class for blocked-policy errors.
The signature concern is refuted. repeated_failure::recovery_policy resolves to the three-argument test wrapper in failure_policy.rs, which delegates to the four-argument recovery_policy_with_effect.
The [policy-blocked] assertions use the wrong class and budget. Generic blocked-policy errors return ("blocked_by_policy", 1). Only denied or expired approvals return ("policy", 0).

Wire the autonomous domain into the compiled runtime
Repo-wide inspection shows no pub mod autonomous in agent/mod.rs, no mod autonomous_turn or re-export in web_chat/ops.rs, no call to register_with_goals from tools/ops.rs, and no call to service::start. These files and their tests therefore remain outside Rust's module tree, so autonomous_work is absent from the catalog and the new orchestrator prompt can only produce unknown-tool failures instead of scheduled work; declare/re-export the modules and compose/start the domain.

Register the advertised coding worker
The built-in loader only walks its explicit BUILTINS slice, but neither registry/agents/mod.rs nor loader.rs names coding_worker, and the orchestrator's agent.toml does not include it in the subagent allowlist. Consequently no delegate_coding tool is synthesized even though the changed prompt and documentation direct coding requests to it; add the module, built-in entry, and parent allowlist entry.

Feed tool outcomes into the review observer
Guard::new starts an empty observation entry, but the only repository call sites of observation::record are the new unit tests; no production tool middleware calls it. Every real review therefore snapshots zero successes, making observation::verified false and causing service::settle to reject every requested finish, so record each tool outcome under the autonomous request ID.

Pause durable work on cooperative cancellation
When a user stops the turn, run_turn_under_cancel_and_deadline returns None by contract, so this branch skips settlement; the unchanged web_chat/ops/channel_ops.rs cancellation path also never calls autonomous::store::pause. Cleanup then removes the in-flight entry while the persisted work remains runnable and due, allowing the scheduler to launch it again on the next tick despite the Stop action; pause the durable record as part of unscoped cancellation.

Persist continuation preferences before loading them
The background turn loads this store to restore model, reasoning, and temperature, but the repository has no production caller of save (only preferences_tests.rs). Thus a task started with any non-default inference choices always continues with None values, especially after an app restart; capture the user turn's selections when autonomous work is started or updated.

Validate task_start before creating durable work
If no work exists and the model issues the otherwise valid task_start action, this condition first persists a generic active goal/work record, after which plan::begin necessarily fails because the newly created plan contains no such task. The tool reports an error but the scheduler still sees runnable work and starts an unintended generic project; exclude task_start from auto-creation or create and validate the requested task atomically.

Move the generic planning graph to TinyAgents
This new task/dependency state machine and its plan_task/task_start/task_review controls implement a generic goals/delegation graph in the OpenHuman core rather than a host adapter. Move that reusable graph and loop contract to the owning TinyAgents repository and leave only desktop scope, dispatch, and policy integration here.

Add autonomous work to the capability catalog
The changed public documentation introduces durable autonomous development and coding-worker delegation as user-facing capabilities, but crates/openhuman-core/src/platform/about_app/ has no corresponding catalog entry. As a result the in-app /about and capability search surfaces cannot describe or discover the new behavior; add the capability metadata alongside the implementation.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Reset the full review state when a worker report interrupts a review.
A worker report can arrive while the task is in Reviewing. In that case the code sets phase back to Working and clears finish_requested. It does not clear review_task or evidence. The task then stays in Working with a stale review_task. After that, plan::criteria and Work::prompt show the criteria of the task under review during an implementation pass. plan::cancel_review already resets all four fields. Use it here, or make the same reset inline.

Return an error for an invalid depends_on value. Do not drop the dependencies.
strings(&args, "depends_on").unwrap_or_default() turns any validation failure into an empty dependency list. Validation fails for an empty string entry, a non-string entry, a non-array value, or more than 50 entries. In each case, plan::add creates the task with no dependencies. plan::begin then lets the task start before the packages it should depend on are verified. This breaks the dependency ordering that plan.rs is meant to enforce. Return the error so the model can fix the call.

Gate the autonomous pump for disabled background-service plans.
start_selected_services calls start_bootstrap_jobs before it checks individual service flags. The autonomous pump then starts unconditionally. SaaS and headless hosts can therefore spawn it even though their plans disable cron-related work. In SaaS, load_config_with_timeout() can fail when no scoped context exists, producing a scheduling-tick error every interval.
The proposed identifiers exist. ServiceSet::embedded() sets cron: true, so this guard does not disable the pump for embedded hosts. Exclude embedded hosts only with a separate, explicit autonomous_work policy.
Suggested fix for SaaS and plans without cron

Review comment at @crates/openhuman-core/src/tools/ops.rs at line 286:
Remove the direct goal_tools registration from the tool-building flow in ops.rs;
register_with_goals should be the sole registration path for goal_get, goal_set,
and goal_complete.

Count only live sub-agents in the requested workspace. Fail closed on snapshot errors.
DetachedTaskRegistry::snapshots can include terminal entries until they are swept. The current helper counts those entries as running, which can block autonomous turns and prevent review acceptance. It also converts a registry error into false, allowing those operations to continue without knowing whether a worker exists. Thread IDs are workspace-backed, but the helper matches them without checking workspace_dir.

Use existing test names in the statics inventory.
atomic_write_roundtrips and autonomous_work_runs_and_completes do not exist. The checker only requires a non-empty verification string, so these references mislead auditors but do not fail CI. Update the affected entries to existing tests.
The LOCK description also refers to disk writes. LOCK serializes autonomous-task and host-goal read-modify-write transitions within the process.
