Suppress / factor repeated tags in pm context low-level rows #445

Closed

Description

@unbraind

Problem (current behavior)

In a real tag-heavy workspace, pm context (brief, 4582 bytes total) spends ~1970 bytes — 43% of the entire snapshot — on tags: blocks. Because sibling tasks inherit a parent's tag set, the same 5-tag array is repeated verbatim on every child row. There is no way to omit tags from the brief projection (--fields is missing; there is no --no-tags).

Proposed improvement

  • Add --no-tags (and honor --fields once added) so an agent can drop tags from focus rows.
  • In the default brief projection, when all low_level children of a parent share the parent's tag set, omit per-row tags and surface them once on the parent (or emit tags_inherited: true).
  • Let --depth brief imply tag-less rows by default (tags are rarely needed for a "what's next" glance).

Agent benefit

~40% size cut on the most-called agent command (pm context) in tag-heavy trackers, with no information loss for the next-work decision. Directly serves "project management = context management": the context snapshot should be as dense as possible.

    Shipped. Tracked as pm-ishm and closed: deterministic parent tag folding with provenance plus --no-tags across context projections, packed acceptance, docs, and exact coverage. Closing here to keep the tracker and this issue in sync.
