My laptop is lenovo e580 https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=fe64fba0a5 here or https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=3a2290dbe0 as you can see at this address Synaptics Metallica MOH Touch Fingerprint Reader 06cb:00a2 unfortunately does not work.

Unfortunately, Fedora latest version, Ubuntu latest version or Mint latest version does not work. As far as I researched on the internet, many users suffer from this problem. I would be happy if valuable developers would support this hardware, good work.

Hello. 3 months have passed, unfortunately there is no support for this driver.

There are hundreds of similar topics. However, there has not been any driver for Device 'Synaptics Metallica MOH Touch Fingerprint Reader' USB 06cb:00a2 in the Linux operating system for 7 years. We've known Lenovo for 7 years and they don't care at all. Producer synaptics are the same. Both companies have not released a driver for 7 years. Our only hope for 7 years is that volunteer developers will release the driver for this. :)
