Can the weather that was recently added to the Windows 10 taskbar be supported on the 10 taskbar by this application? #153

Can the weather that was recently added to the Windows 10 taskbar be supported on the 10 taskbar by this application? It would be really nice to have access to it since switching back to the 10 taskbar results in a loss of the 11 widgets panel.

    Please refer to #113
In short, not in the near future because the code for the weather widget's panel in windows 10 does not seem to be there anymore.

You can still access the widget's panel with the keyboard shortcut Win+W.

Well that's a nice workaround! Since the Windows 10 weather widget is not an option, but the Windows 11 widget panel is still accessible, could an option be added to enable it to be accessible via the Windows 10 taskbar?

Generally in the future, yes probably. I don’t know at the moment how to add buttons to the taskbar the way search or task view are added, so it will take some time to figure that out.

In the mean time, make a shortcut to some app that presses Win+W and pin that to the taskbar. I already hinted at that, if one could take the time to identify where the Windows 11 icons for search, task view and widgets are, we can make 3 EXEs that trigger those functions and people can pin that to the taskbar and it would be a nice solution. I hinted at this a number of times, yet if no one from the community wants to take the time and help, I can do only so many things a day. I understand not everyone is a programmer, but what I describe here is not necessarily a job for one with coding abilities.

    Thanks
