Formatting Numbers

Maybe it would be interesting to have an integrated way to format numbers and currencies. At the moment, if i'm not wrong, you have provided a displayformat only for dates, so to display formatted numbers i have to use an external script, and I have to implement the display property of each column.

I added this to the _getDisplayTextForRecordField function on the jquery.jtable.js:

else if (field.type == 'currency') {
                if(field.currency)               currency = field.currency;
                else if(this.options.currency)   currency = this.options.currency;
                else                             currency = "€";

                return number_format(fieldValue, 2, ".", ",")+ " " + currency;
            }

You can than define the currency on your main page with:

currency: '€',

You also have to load the number_format function from http://phpjs.org/functions/number_format/ to your script.

I did something similar that feels a bit better. Just like you said, I included the entire number_format function at the bottom of the jtable.js. Then, when defining my jTable fields, I called the number format_function from the display field option. My field definition looks like this. It's cleaner that way.

Isn't better just add < script src="scripts/number_format.js" type="text/javascript" >< /script> inside the .html ?
