User dashboard: remaining weekly hours and overtime balance #109
Remaining hours this week: expected hours (from the user's work schedule) minus hours tracked so far.
Overtime balance: accumulated over/under hours for a balance period. The default period is the calendar year (1 Jan – 31 Dec), configurable per workspace or per user.
Ideally the balance takes public holidays and approved leave into account (they reduce the expected hours).
Current Behavior
The overview page shows a "this week" chart and top projects. Goals support weekly targets and progress, but there is no expected-hours concept, no accumulated balance and no configurable balance period.
Additional Context
Depends on a per-employee work schedule (filed separately). This goes beyond Toggl's feature set; if it's out of scope for core, it would be a good candidate for a plugin (see #106).
Keeping this open with explicit dependencies. Remaining weekly hours needs an agreed expected-hours model from #111. Accumulated over/under-hours additionally needs rules for the balance period, carryover and the effect of approved leave and public holidays (#110 and #112).
We will treat weekly progress and a persistent overtime balance as distinct scope decisions. The full balance feature is not yet committed to the roadmap, and no plugin implementation is promised.
