feat(pr-review): save findings as they land, show the clock, say why a review failed - #1064
Conversation
…why a review failed Ports the parts of effect-agent's pr-review that Maple's reviewer lacked: - record_finding saves each established finding to a ledger shared by the pass and its close-out; submit_review merges them, and a turn that never submits files them as a partial. - The review and its fan-out workers get the engine's run-status line (elapsed time, warning at 80%), so they submit before the deadline. - A failed review stores a typed reason (time_limit, step_limit, context_limit, stuck, model_error, ...) and the comment and check say it in fixed words. - The summary comment gains a "Copy all findings" block and a "Files not reviewed" list. - The coverage gate no longer demands files the repository's ignorePaths exclude. - automaticReviewLimit caps the reviews pushes start per pull request. - The sandbox checks symlinks out as plain files, so none can be followed. Also fixes setPrReviewConfig dropping feedbackScope on save.

…ose them out The review of this PR died on the engine's 65,536-event ceiling after 126 model calls, because every streamed reasoning token is a run event, and its close-out died before its first call because the whole 149-call transcript could not fit 128k tokens. - The review model joins consecutive streamed deltas of one part (up to 4,000 chars) before the engine sees them, which also keeps calls under the 16,384-part response limit. - The close-out's tool transcript is capped at 200k characters, newest calls kept, with a count of what was left out. - Failure classification reads every failure in a cause, not only the first, and maps the engine's event and part ceilings to step_limit. - Saved and submitted findings are sorted by severity before the 50-finding cap. - The per-PR review limit no longer pauses a head that already has a review row.

…1065) * docs: fix stale references and tighten prose across docs/ Audited every doc under docs/ against the current code. Fixed moved paths (MCP, chat and ChatSession now live in apps/ai), renamed symbols, wrong commands and env vars, and claims the code no longer backs (self-hosted ClickHouse settings table, service map edge derivation, local store dirty-shutdown behavior, GitHub App permissions, Postgres client setup, Electric shape registry). Dated investigations and plans keep their findings; some gain a one-line verified status note. Prose tightened throughout and em dashes removed. * skills: fix wrong instructions and stale references in Maple skills Service map edges come from joining a client span to its child server span, not peer.service; the audit, style and telemetry-conventions skills now say so. Language style skills get real SDK APIs and package names (Rust 0.32 types and features, Go log exporter path, Kotlin extension artifact, C# AddSource, Node ESM hook). Onboarding points at the public @maple-dev/effect-sdk and the maple_pk_ ingest key. The internal telemetry-conventions skill gets current paths, cache keys, ingest rejection status rules and MV columns. The dashboard widgets skill is regenerated from dashboard-schema-doc.ts, which had drifted from the committed file. * fix(ai): import agent errors from effect-agent/agent-error #1064 landed after #1062 renamed @effect-agent/* to effect-agent, so review-failure.ts still imported the retired @effect-agent/core path and broke typecheck and the apps/ai test lane on main. * docs: name the renamed effect-agent package in CLAUDE.md
… conventions page (#1066) * docs(landing): correct service map and other stale claims on the OTel conventions page The Service Map section told customers that peer.service draws edges. Edges come from a Client/Producer span joined to its child Server/Consumer span in the callee, so the section now explains trace-context propagation, db.system.name + db.namespace database nodes, and external nodes keyed on messaging, rpc and server.address. Other fixes checked against the code: retention is 30 days for traces and logs and 90 for metrics; cache spans are detected by cache.system or cache.result only; the error banner collapses past 3 lines or 160 characters; log rows show every chip; ingest converts status codes; keys live under Settings > Ingestion; platform badges limited to what exists. * fix(ai): import agent errors from effect-agent/agent-error #1064 landed after #1062 renamed @effect-agent/* to effect-agent, so review-failure.ts still imported the retired @effect-agent/core path and broke typecheck and the apps/ai test lane on main. * docs(landing): retention by plan, keep private keys out of source, tag diagram fences Retention is plan-based (7 days Starter, 30 Startup, custom Enterprise), not a flat table. Server setups load the private key from a secret or env var; only the public key is safe to ship. Bare code fences get a text language.
What
Ports the review behaviors from effect-agent's
packages/pr-reviewthat Maple's reviewer was missing.record_finding: the reviewer saves each finding once it has checked it. The saved list is shared by the pass and its close-out.submit_reviewadds the saved findings and drops restatements (same file, category, line within 3, similar title). If no report lands, the turn runner files the saved findings itself as a partial review instead of failing it.pr-reviewpolicy and thereview_filesworkers userunStatus: "appended". Each model call ends with elapsed time and a warning at 80% of any limit. The prompt says to submit when the warning appears. The line is only added to the outgoing prompt, so the cached prefix is unchanged.time_limit,step_limit,context_limit,stuck,model_error,agent_errororno_report. The reason is stored as the prefix ofpr_reviews.error. The PR comment and check run show one fixed sentence per reason, never the raw cause. Rows written before this change keep the generic message.Never review these paths:line. It no longer refuses a submit over files the settings exclude.automaticReviewLimit(optional, 1 to 50, new "Reviews per pull request" field in settings): once a PR has that many completed or failed reviews, pushes stop starting new ones. The head gets a skipped "Automatic reviews paused" check.@maple reviewstill works.core.symlinks false, so a committed symlink is checked out as a file holding its target and no command can follow it out of the checkout. Also fixed
