Installed-model startup ignores --host and --api-key #179

Closed

Description

@nszceta

Related to #26. On an already installed model:

./setup.sh --host 0.0.0.0 --api-key test-key

Expected: listen on 0.0.0.0:8080 and require the API key.

Actual: listens on 127.0.0.1:8080; /v1/models returns 200 without a key when none is saved.

The installed-model shortcuts drop both options, and start() does not forward them.

Fix: forward both flags on installed-model startup, preserving saved defaults when omitted. A local patch verified wildcard binding, remote authentication (401 without/wrong key, 200 with it), and a successful chat completion.

    Confirmed. In 0.1.28 (in testing) --host, --api-key (and the new --draft-vocab) given on a start are saved into that model's config, so they apply now and on later starts.

    Fixed in 0.1.28: --host, --api-key and --draft-vocab given when starting an installed model are saved into its config and used right away.
