Current behaviour
KIMI_API_MODELS in src/providers/registry/model-seeds.ts is ["kimi-k3", "kimi-k2.7-code", "kimi-k2.7-code-highspeed", "kimi-k2.6", "kimi-k2.5"]. K3.1 Pro is not seeded for the moonshot preset, so it does not appear in the picker and gets no 1M context window or effort ladder. The usage price rows for moonshot/kimi-k3.1-pro and moonshot/kimi-k3.1-pro-highspeed land in the Kimi pricing PR, but seeds were deliberately left out because I could not verify the API surface live (no platform API key available).
Also: kimi-k2.5 was discontinued 2026-08-31 per https://platform.kimi.ai/docs/models and the whole K2 series closes to new users 2026-10-31 and retires by end of December 2026, yet moonshot.defaultModel is still kimi-k2.7-code.
Expected behaviour
Seed kimi-k3.1-pro / kimi-k3.1-pro-highspeed for moonshot with a 1M window, thinking-only effort ladder low/high/max (the API rejects thinking-disabled requests), text+image(+video) input; plan the K2 retirement (default model, legacy seeds, rename migration) before December 2026.

Unverified legacy prices from third-party aggregators (kimi-k2-thinking, kimi-k2-thinking-turbo, kimi-k2-turbo-preview, kimi-k2-0905/0711-preview, moonshot-v1-*) were NOT added: the official models page lists all of them as Deprecated/discontinued and the official pricing table no longer carries them.

The seed part landed on dev in #7695 (merge commit f0bf610): the moonshot API preset now lists kimi-k3.1-pro and kimi-k3.1-pro-highspeed with official metadata. Keeping this issue open for the second half, the K2 retirement and the preset default change, which is an open owner decision.

Resolved on
devby #7695 (f0bf610bee) and #7880 (ad3e3d1871). #7695 seededkimi-k3.1-proon the Moonshot API preset; #7880 made it the preset default and retiredkimi-k2.5, which was the remaining half tracked here. PRs intodevdo not auto-close linked issues, so this was closed manually. The fix ships with the next release cut fromdev; please reopen if it still reproduces on a build that contains it.
