fix(credentials): don't undo a sign-in when retired cron jobs can't be pruned - #8552
A sign-in fails, and is rolled back, whenever TinyFlows can't load.
rebind_after_credential_change (config/user_scope.rs) ran cron::seed::prune_retired_jobs(config)? as a hard step. That's a TinyFlows Schedule call. If TinyFlows is unavailable (artifact missing or corrupt, offline with no cache, downloads disabled), the error propagated, rollback_failed_credential_rebind deleted the stored profile, and the user stayed signed out. On the desktop they saw a keyring write prompt, then a keyring delete prompt, then a sign-in error.
The same prune is already only a warning at boot (services.rs#run_legacy_migrations), and ensure_memory_jobs in the same rebind is soft. Making TinyFlows a hard dependency of sign-in looks incidental.
Fix
Log the prune failure ("[cron] failed to prune retired jobs after a credential change") and continue, as at boot. The rest of the rebind is unchanged.
Tests
New credentials::ops::tests::credential_tests::a_tinyflows_that_cannot_load_does_not_undo_a_sign_in: TinyFlows is disabled, and the sign-in must succeed without being rolled back.
Red control: with main's user_scope.rs the test fails with COMPONENT_DISABLED:tinyflows. With the fix it passes.
Validation (self-hosted Linux runner, vs main0f699bd)
fmt: pass.
Credential tests: 34 passed, 1 failed, vs 33 passed, 1 failed on main. The one failure (security::credentials::ops::tests::credential_tests::encrypt_then_decrypt_round_trips_locally) is identical on main.

Completeness: Complete Test assessment: No supported feature-to-test mapping was available; this does not mean tests are absent or passed.
What changed
`rebind_after_credential_change` no longer treats a failed retired-cron-job prune as fatal: the `?` on `prune_retired_jobs(config)` is replaced by an `if let Err(error)` block that emits a `log::warn!` and pushes `retired cron jobs not pruned: {error}` into the collected logs, after which the rebind proceeds to `rebind_default_workspace_with_config`. The rest of the rebind is unchanged. A new async test exercises sign-in with the TinyFlows component disabled.
Features
Modified — Best-effort retired cron job pruning during credential rebind: When TinyFlows cannot load (artifact missing or corrupt, offline with no cache, downloads disabled), the prune failure no longer propagates and rolls back a stored credential, so the sign-in completes instead of the user being signed out after a keyring write and delete; the failure surfaces only as a warning log and a `retired cron jobs not pruned: {error}` entry in the returned logs. (crates/openhuman-core/src/config/user_scope.rspub(crate) fn rebind_after_credential_change()
Tests
No supported feature-to-test mapping was produced. Test execution is not inferred.

Positive: Tests lane is answered and raised no formal findings, while noting the new test does not assert the prune failed and so does not pin the new swallowed-error path.
Lane summary: The change makes a failed retired-cron prune non-fatal during credential rebind and adds a test that signs in with TinyFlows disabled. The test guards the reverted-to-error regression, but it never asserts the prune actually failed, so it cannot distinguish the new swallowed-error path from a prune that quietly succeeded — the new `"retired cron jobs not pruned: …"` log line is asserted nowhere. _The code index is behind this pull request (indexed at `5a59659ac041`), so retrieved context may be out of date._

description
Conclusion: Success
Scope reviewed: all assigned evidence
Positive: Description lane is answered: the diff matches the description, which covers the behaviour change from a hard prune step to warning-and-continue and the accompanying regression test.
Lane summary: The diff matches its description: `prune_retired_jobs` becomes a warning-and-continue step in `rebind_after_credential_change`, mirroring the soft handling at boot and of `ensure_memory_jobs`, with a regression test that disables TinyFlows and asserts the sign-in still completes. The description accurately covers the behaviour change and the test; I found nothing else worth reporting. _The code index is behind this pull request (indexed at `5a59659ac041`), so retrieved context may be out of date._

Walkthrough
The credential rebinding path now continues after retired cron-job pruning fails. A regression test checks that session sign-in succeeds when Tinyflows is disabled and its configured auth endpoint is unauthorized.
Changes: Credential rebinding
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Continue rebinding after pruning failure crates/openhuman-core/src/config/user_scope.rs, crates/openhuman-core/src/credentials/ops_credential_tests.rs
Pruning failures now produce a warning and a log message instead of stopping rebinding. A regression test checks that session storage succeeds with authenticated state when Tinyflows cannot load.
Sign-in now survives pruning failures, but callers do not receive the pruning warning in the returned logs. This is a bounded observability gap; forwarding those logs and adding successful-pruning coverage would improve readiness.

…e pruned
Signing in pruned retired cron jobs through TinyFlows as a required step,
so a TinyFlows that could not load (a missing or corrupt artifact with
downloads unavailable) rolled the stored credential back and left the
device signed out. The prune is housekeeping: boot already only warns on
it, and seeding memory's cron jobs in the same rebind is best-effort.

Forward the rebind logs on credential install.
On a successful install, set.rs discards the Vec<String> returned by rebind_after_credential_change. The retired cron jobs not pruned line at config/user_scope.rs:221 never reaches the sign-in logs. The sign-out path in teardown.rs extends its logs with the same result, so the install path should do the same.

257-262: Trivial · Maintainability & Code Quality · Low value
Cover pruning on sign-in with a state-based test.
The new sign-in test passes when the prune_retired_jobs call in rebind_after_credential_change is removed. Its assertions check only sign-in survival and the rebind log line. Add a test that seeds a retired cron job, signs in with TinyFlows enabled, and asserts that the job is removed. The existing cron/seed_tests.rs cases call prune_retired_jobs directly, so they do not cover this path.
