[dogfood] plan materialize --json omits title/type/parent on materialized entries (pm-ypha) #453

Closed

Description

@unbraind

Summary

The materialized[] entries returned by pm plan materialize --json only include id; title, type, and parent are undefined in the response projection, so callers must run pm get <id> to confirm what was created.

Impact

Minor friction for agents/scripts that materialize steps and want to confirm the result in one round trip. The data IS correct on disk; only the response projection is incomplete.

Environment

  • pm 2026.7.4, Node v22.20.0, Linux x86_64.

Reproduction

pm plan create --title "P" --step "Do thing"
pm plan materialize <plan-id> --steps 1 --materialize-type Chore --materialize-parent <parent> --json
# materialized[0] = { id: "pm-xxxx" } (title/parent undefined)
pm get <id> # title and parent ARE set correctly here

Expected

materialized[] entries include { id, title, type, parent, tags } for confirmation.

Actual

Only id is populated; other fields undefined.

Evidence

  • found in Phase 5 of the ContextOps dogfood; pm get confirmed the created Chore had the correct title/parent.

Proposed improvement

Project the created item's core fields into the materialize response.

Dogfood context

Found in Phase 5 of the ContextOps dogfood while materializing plan steps to tasks.
