Preserve alias provenance and measure deprecated command usage - #1344
Conversation
Carry caller read-output flag provenance through extension option and lifecycle cloning so canonical full-list reads do not report a legacy --full alias. Resolve complete declared command spellings before counting deprecated aliases, and keep consented daily counters in local telemetry state with retention and zero-use diagnostics. Record both PM item closures, linked snapshot tests, defect gate evidence, manual extension acceptance, and regenerated changelog. Verify the full 9,405-test suite at exact 100% statement, branch, function, and line coverage, plus repository static and package gates.

WalkthroughThe CLI now records consented usage of deprecated command aliases and reports retained counts and aliases without recorded usage. It also preserves read-output invocation provenance across extension option reconstruction and parser or preflight overrides. ChangesDeprecated alias usage

Reviewer's GuideThe PR fixes deprecated-alias provenance across extension-aware command parsing and introduces consented, local, retention-limited telemetry for measuring complete deprecated command spellings, with serialized state writes, diagnostics, regression coverage, and documented removal-evidence constraints. produced when aggregating days for alias_usage to Number.MAX_SAFE_INTEGER,
keeping both counts safe integers. Update the recorder test to seed a valid
daily count at the limit and the aggregation test to use multiple individually
safe large daily counts.

Resolve executable-prefixed invocations and parent scope flags before classifying complete command aliases. Bound the foreground telemetry lock wait, clamp daily and aggregate counts to safe integers, and prune expired on-disk observations during diagnostics reads when the lock is available. Reopen and re-close pm-0mox with review evidence. Add lock-contention, integer-limit, executable-prefix, and parent-flag regressions. Reverify 9,407 tests at exact 100% coverage and pass repository static quality.

Re-read alias usage under the telemetry mutex before a diagnostics prune write. If a peer has cleared state or already pruned it, leave the state file untouched so diagnostics cannot recreate cleared telemetry data. Add competing-writer regressions for both cases and record the second review correction in pm-0mox. Reverify 9,409 tests with exact 100% coverage and the full repository static gate.
