Preserve lossless merge history and SDK recovery - #1445
Conversation
Project history collection changes from their original branch coordinates through the shared item merge policy. Retain original positional patches in sealed rewrite evidence and advance one cumulative document per branch, so prior merge audits cannot duplicate comments or stamp another test's provenance while memory does not grow with retained full-document snapshots. Keep exact receipt admission, linked-command trust and abort recovery intact. Accept the current planning expectation atomically during reopening and return same-tracker planning recovery when it is omitted. Expose that input through CLI aliases, SDK types, MCP admission and help while preserving earlier terminal evidence. Make assurance risk discovery declare policy and change and return executable missing-policy recovery without inferring project policy. Remove redundant indentation from emitted declarations while preserving literal and template type values, comments, JSDoc and exported symbols. Keep source readability, package ceilings and strict quality gates unchanged. Strengthen real Git and transport regression coverage, recurrence policy, SDK contracts and CLI-produced tracking evidence for the combined delivery. Record the unchanged-source daily release merge, passing static assurance composition, version synchronization and nine-package npm/Bun acceptance. Preserve legacy warnings, immutable prior closures and the next eligible publication boundary in PM evidence; regenerate through the latest upstream changelog package.

Reviewer's GuideThis PR fixes lossless merge projection by replaying each branch’s cumulative state and applying shared collection merge semantics, adds explicit and recoverable planning expectations for item reopening plus precise assurance-policy recovery, and compacts generated declarations while preserving public API semantics and documentation. Attach PR1445 to all four canonical owners without rewriting prior closure or test-run evidence. Keep current source validation, pending exact-head review and next daily publication as separate claims; verify the latest upstream-generated changelog after the tracker writes.

Codecov Report✅ All modified and coverable lines are covered by tests. 📢 Thoughts on this report? Let us know! |
Interleave history suffixes subject to each original branch order, using time only between available events. Refuse contradictory or ambiguous coordinates and verify intermediate replay states so final equality cannot hide attribution of an earlier mutation to the wrong event. Classify retained native comment, document and test context independently of duplicate replay positions and known local/union display markers. Preserve exact receipt hashes and command trust; retain genuine payload, author, origin, unknown-field and unidentified multiplicity loss diagnostics. Verify the explicit forced-repair CLI journey and unchanged item bytes. Brand canonical policy-parser TypeErrors with an additive SDK error class, stable code and original cause. Return recovery for every malformed policy shape while retaining separate change/lineage contracts and unexpected fault identity. Clarify prior terminal versus new active expectations in reopen docs. Record reviewed source/test/doc links, linked receipts, structured replacement closures and unchanged gate/budget evidence through PM. Complete validation passes 10205 tests and exact source coverage, full static quality, TypeScript, public Node/Bun consumers and nine-package npm/Bun smoke. Leave merged history unresolved when a scalar patch cannot apply at its new replay position. Returning the original patch could feed stale collection indexes into lenient reanchoring while reporting zero skipped operations. Add independent nested and root-replacement regression vectors. Reverting only this guard makes the loaded root case fail with a missing-exception assertion; restoring the exact fixed source passes. Retain the prefixless skipped-operation refusal and real Git, abort, receipt and forced-retention controls. Record current full-source, static, linked and packed evidence in the canonical merge owner without rewriting earlier closure events. PM: pm-pftgcz

History patches can target another branch’s array positions after a prior merge audit, duplicating comments and misattributing test provenance. The history driver now applies shared item-merge semantics to original branch states while preserving each branch’s event order. Timestamps choose between available events; intermediate replay tests verify that clock skew cannot assign an earlier effect to a later event. Scalar rebase failure leaves the history unresolved instead of falling back to original positional collection operations. Original patches remain sealed, and exact receipt admission, command trust, abort recovery and byte-stable reconciliation remain enforced. Canonical driver equality resolves the reproduced lossless merge without force; retained-context equivalence is diagnostic evidence and does not authorize receipt settlement or executable tests. Explicit forced repair reports identified retained native context accurately despite duplicate replay positions or known union display markers; actual payload, author, origin and unknown-field losses remain loud.
SDK/CLI/MCP reopening accepts the current planning expectation atomically and returns executable same-tracker recovery when it is omitted. Risk discovery includes its required policy, and canonical policy-parser TypeErrors carry a TypeError-compatible public error class, stable code and original cause so recovery stays specific to the policy stage. Declaration finalization removes indentation outside protected literals and comments, preserving public types and JSDoc within the existing artifact budgets.
PM owners: lossless merge, reopen planning, risk help, and declaration size. Source/test/doc links, native relationships, test-run receipts, gate evidence and structured closure were recorded through the PM CLI. Earlier close events remain immutable; review remediation was reopened, claimed, verified and closed on the canonical owners.
