Verification — R-L10 refresh (2026-10-16)

Current head: a01b337ac29d5f69251d00e095b782df4daf2c63. Merged dev c03eafd46bdae15aba058850e409c0598309e2ed without rebasing or force-pushing; no textual conflicts. Refreshed parent #6454 is included. The import-cycle baseline stays at 35 modules, with no additions.

The merge reproduced the ratchet failure on lidge: 72 passed / 1 failed across the cycle, file-size and structure guards, with typecheck passing. The new cyclic member was src/providers/quota/account-row.ts. src/providers/quota.ts:541 now defers that projection import until after the account probe; the source edge no longer joins the static SCC, and private currentness callbacks remain intact. The owning provider structure document records the boundary.

Exact-head remote verification on lidge, Bun 1.4.3: RL10-6594-a01b337-focus completed with typecheck exit 0; tests exit 0; 211 passed / 0 failed across eight files:

ssh lidge '~/bin/ocx-lane-launch.sh 52 a01b337ac29d5f69251d00e095b782df4daf2c63 RL10-6594-a01b337-focus tests/ci-workflows/import-cycle-ratchet.test.ts tests/ci-workflows/file-size-ratchet.test.ts tests/ci-workflows/structure-ssot.test.ts tests/providers/provider-account-quota.test.ts tests/providers/provider-antigravity-model-quota.test.ts tests/server/provider-account-quota-routes.test.ts tests/codex-integration/codex-preserve-signed-in.test.ts tests/codex-integration/codex-use-remaining-quota.test.ts'
ssh lidge '~/bin/ocx-lane-launch.sh 2 a01b337ac29d5f69251d00e095b782df4daf2c63 RL10-6594-a01b337'
ssh lidge '~/bin/ocx-lane-cmp.sh RL10-6594-a01b337 dev-c03eafd'

The first refreshed child full run (0927618dde, label RL10-6594-0927618) finished with typecheck exit 0 and tests exit 1: 48,527 pass / 31 fail / 145 skip. Its 29 named failing tests match dev, but two additional loader errors exposed stale handleCodexAuthAPI facade imports in codex-preserve-signed-in.test.ts and codex-use-remaining-quota.test.ts. Both now import the owning auth-api/routes.ts module; the final focused run above executes both suites successfully. The comparison helper matches named failures only, so its earlier zero-new-failure output did not account for these loader errors.

The final exact-head full-suite run RL10-6594-a01b337 completed on lidge: typecheck exit 0; tests exit 1; 48,575 pass / 29 fail / 145 skip (938 seconds, including shared-lock wait). The same-host plain-dev baseline dev-c03eafd has 48,553 pass / 29 fail / 145 skip, typecheck exit 0. ocx-lane-cmp.sh reports zero new named failures, zero baseline failure names absent, and no missing completed batch files. Both executions contain the same 29 failing test names. A separate raw-log inspection found zero unhandled loader errors in the final head; both stale-import errors from the superseded run are gone. This is baseline-equivalent failure evidence, not an all-green full suite. Remote logs and summaries live under ~/ocx-lane/logs/ on lidge. No local tests, typechecks, builds or lint were run for this refresh. No hosted-CI or native-platform success is claimed. Earlier-head evidence below is historical.

Historical pre-refresh verification (2026-10-16)

Published head: acc126f9c32c9a4fa437f79ce95cf86c02da66f1; tested tree: 7aec845f70ecbd0dc75c7a909286395bdb5475e5. This preserves the maintainer's dev 4ae49360b794f8d829f75019a3c49b5fba39e12b synchronization and GCP-credential-marker integration. The only subsequent edit removes one trailing blank line from scripts/import-cycles.ts, repairing the whole-PR whitespace check. The new #6454 commit is retained as a merge parent, preserving the stack. Publication used a non-forced, expected-head-checked branch update. The published tree exactly matches the locally tested index.

Bun 1.4.3/Linux, official runner, normal queue/resource limits, disposable HOME and a clean environment without inherited credentials/proxies. On the final tree:

  1. Import-cycle ratchet, Lab boundary, client composition/listener, launchd fallback/repair and service tests, plus OAuth operator reconciliation: 354 pass / 1 fail / 1,320 assertions across eight files. This is explicitly a failing combined run, not an all-green suite.
  2. Import-cycle/file-size/structure guards, both layout guards, GCP credential-boundary/marker tests and API-key selection: 166 pass / 0 fail / 1,023 assertions across eight files.
  3. tests/adapters/google/gcp-sa-adapter.test.ts: 6 pass / 0 fail / 15 assertions. This covers the maintainer's marker-preservation merge and the routed marker reaching the adapter without an ambient credential fallback.
  4. bun run typecheck, bun run structure:check, bun run privacy:scan, and git diff --check dev: all pass. The scanner test overlaps between (1) and (2); these counts must not be added as unique tests.

The single combined-run failure is service diagnostics > status summary exposes the service log path. Exact plain dev 4ae49360 reproduces the same assertion in the common four-file selection (314 pass / 1 fail / 1,162 assertions). A read-only probe confirms this container returns unsupported: systemd not found; the unchanged Linux diagnostic intentionally returns before adding service paths. This is the known minimal-container limitation documented in AGENTS.md, not an uninvestigated flaky-test attribution. The earlier two stale-install fixture failures now pass in the combined selection, consistent with dev's service-fixture isolation fix. No production diagnostic, test assertion, timing threshold or service authority rule was weakened.

bun scripts/test.ts --parallel=1 --timeout=15000 tests/ci-workflows/import-cycle-ratchet.test.ts tests/lab/core-lab-boundary.test.ts tests/clients/client-link-runtime.test.ts tests/clients/client-machine-listener.test.ts tests/service/launchd-port-fallback.test.ts tests/service/service.test.ts tests/service/launchd-repair.test.ts tests/oauth/oauth-reconcile-operator-maps.test.ts
bun scripts/test.ts --parallel=1 --timeout=15000 tests/ci-workflows/import-cycle-ratchet.test.ts tests/ci-workflows/file-size-ratchet.test.ts tests/ci-workflows/structure-ssot.test.ts tests/test-layout.test.ts tests/test-layout-tooling.test.ts tests/adapters/google/gcp-credential-boundary.test.ts tests/adapters/google/gcp-sa-marker.test.ts tests/providers/api-key-selection-capture.test.ts
bun scripts/test.ts --parallel=1 --timeout=15000 tests/adapters/google/gcp-sa-adapter.test.ts
bun run typecheck
bun run structure:check
bun run privacy:scan
git diff --check dev

Full-suite/platform exception: the reviewed stack was synchronized amid concurrent large-suite work; focused changed-boundary, GCP integration and structural checks were used instead of a new full suite/import-connected run. Local validation is accepted with the explicitly baseline-reproduced, documented unsupported-systemd exception above. No native macOS/Windows service/tray run or live account/provider use is claimed. Earlier Windows timing failures and earlier macOS/remote-hub runs remain historical; this Linux validation does not declare those platform issues fixed.

At validation/publication the branch contained dev 4ae49360. At the 2026-10-16 04:00 UTC re-attestation, the exact tested head is unchanged and is 8 commits behind live dev c03eafd46bdae15aba058850e409c0598309e2ed, within the readiness limit. All current inline review threads are resolved. Exact-head Cross-platform CI and the other functional workflows are terminal action_required, awaiting maintainer approval. They are not passing evidence. Author readiness requests current-head review with the disclosed local exception; required hosted/platform checks remain a pre-merge requirement.

Historical dev synchronization and validation (2026-10-15)

Current head: 5f792ebcb444020b7f8a78a5bc01e71422c4ee9e; exact tested tree: 32ad28da03236d2f124842b09ac8cf36b8b596f0. This normal merge preserves 2882b60 and merges refreshed parent #6454 49071f3, including upstream dev ee6cbe2. No rebase, force-push, manual conflict resolution, or unrelated fix was added. Independent stable patch-id comparison confirms the parent delta against dev and child delta against parent are unchanged. The 59/35 cycle baselines remain unchanged and their ratchet checks pass.

On each final tree with Bun 1.4.3/Linux, typecheck, structure, privacy and whitespace checks pass. The combined seven-file official run produced 340 pass / 2 fail / 1,234 assertions, not a fully passing run:

bun scripts/test.ts --parallel=1 --timeout=15000 tests/ci-workflows/import-cycle-ratchet.test.ts tests/lab/core-lab-boundary.test.ts tests/clients/client-link-runtime.test.ts tests/clients/client-machine-listener.test.ts tests/service/launchd-port-fallback.test.ts tests/service/service.test.ts tests/service/launchd-repair.test.ts
bun scripts/test.ts --parallel=1 --timeout=15000 tests/service/service.test.ts
bun run typecheck
bun run structure:check
bun run privacy:scan

The two failures are service diagnostics > flags stale baked service paths recorded at install time and service diagnostics > a launcher install judges staleness by the launcher: both expected a stale-path diagnostic and received null. The same cases/assertions fail on exact plain dev ee6cbe2 in the combined selection (319 pass / 2 fail; dev lacks the new ratchet/runtime test paths). Running service.test.ts alone on dev and each candidate gives 211 pass / 0 fail / 702 assertions. The child additionally passed bun scripts/test.ts --parallel=1 --timeout=15000 tests/oauth/oauth-reconcile-operator-maps.test.ts (13 pass / 79 assertions). These overlapping runs are not additive unique counts.

A minimal unchanged-dev run of launchd-repair.test.ts followed by service.test.ts reproduces 269 pass / 2 fail. Temporary instrumentation at the actual failing assertion found a newer valid default-home authoritative service record shadowing the active-home fixture; the instrumentation was removed and dev source restored. This establishes a shared fixture-isolation problem. Production authority rules were not weakened and no test fix was bundled into this mechanical synchronization. The earlier five maintainer-reported macOS failures remain a separate investigation.

Full-suite exception: this conflict-free integration preserves the reviewed patch, with focused boundary/service/OAuth regressions and structural gates amid concurrent large-suite work. No full-suite or native macOS/Windows run on this new tree is claimed. Current-head GitHub CI and automated review must be evaluated afresh; all older-head successes or queued runs below are historical. The branch contains dev ee6cbe2 at publication. Author readiness reflects the reviewed mechanical merge and explicitly documented baseline failure exception, not an all-green CI or merge attestation.

Historical review fixes before dev synchronization (2026-10-15)

Then-current head: 2882b6043505e091013197652919c894342189e4; exact tested tree: f2bacbdc977ff98b9d27a6b2d86eaddf765184f1. This merge preserves original child 7afc9e5 and merges parent #6454 a0fec4e without rewriting either history. All older head-specific results below remain historical; they are not new-head CI evidence.

  • Replaced spacing-sensitive import matching with Bun's TS/TSX parser and local resolution. Compact declarations, re-exports, erased type-only imports, index.tsx (including JSX), index.mts, and runtime index precedence have regressions. Dynamic imports remain excluded. The static cycle baselines remain parent 59 / child 35, with no baseline additions.
  • Added a runtime composition test asserting the exact recycle scheduler passed into the listener.
  • A failed launchd load now requires one readable plist snapshot before accepting an already-running no-op. Missing/unreadable plists require repair; readable malformed-port fallback and installed-port precedence are covered. Clean load remains unchanged. Tests use synthetic artifacts/injected manager calls, not a real launchd installation.
  • Independent final diff/security review found no blocker. No new dependency, credential handling, installation, or workflow permission behavior was introduced. The existing child maintainer security sponsorship remains recorded below.

Bun 1.4.3, Linux cloud, both exact final trees: the first command passed 237 tests / 777 assertions; the second passed 93 tests / 385 assertions. The 13 scanner tests overlap, so these counts must not be added as unique tests; the second run includes the final actual-JSX fixture. Typecheck, structure SSOT, privacy scan, and diff check passed. The only environment selection was PATH choosing Bun 1.4.3; no additional validation preload or mount-namespace wrapper was used for these review-fix runs.

bun scripts/test.ts --parallel=1 --timeout=15000 tests/ci-workflows/import-cycle-ratchet.test.ts tests/clients/client-link-runtime.test.ts tests/service/launchd-port-fallback.test.ts tests/service/service.test.ts
bun scripts/test.ts --parallel=1 --timeout=15000 tests/ci-workflows/import-cycle-ratchet.test.ts tests/clients/client-machine-listener.test.ts tests/service/launchd-repair.test.ts
bun run typecheck
bun scripts/structure-ssot.ts
bun run privacy:scan
git diff --check

Full-suite exception: these are focused regressions for eight review-fix files amid concurrent large-suite work. A new full suite/import-connected graph and native macOS/Windows execution were not run locally. The earlier maintainer-reported 46,671 pass / 5 fail / 137 skip on child 7afc, with the same five failures reported on plain dev, remains a failing historical broad run. Their original macOS case/log attribution is still being investigated; these fixes do not claim to resolve it.

The maintainer has dispatched new exact-head cross-platform CI; it is currently queued, with no passing final conclusion. At the latest API check, the old 5026/7afc dispatch runs report overall cancelled, although their final ci jobs completed success at 12:06 UTC and every executed job is successful (parent: 29 success / 5 skipped; child: 28 success / 6 skipped). These are historical-head job results, not successful new-head workflows. Neither older-head results, skipped jobs nor approval-required fork runs count as current-head success. New-head review and required CI must finish before merge. At that head, local validation and independent review were complete, and all four raised findings are resolved by CodeRabbit or the maintainer. The branch is four commits behind dev at this check, within the readiness gate's limit. Checklist completion requests formal review; the new automated review and CI are still pending and this does not authorize merge.

Historical maintainer verification before review fixes (2026-10-15)

Then-current head: 7afc9e5f8984fdd41a42a341d7d11b74c7d476e4. The maintainer merged the updated #6454 parent without rewriting history and reduced the cycle baseline from 59 to 35 modules, with router.ts now required to be acyclic.

The independent authentication/security review is complete and maintainer-sponsored is applied: maintainer review. Earlier sponsorship-blocked statements below describe historical snapshots and are superseded by this review.

Maintainer verification reports a macOS full bun run test at this head: 46,671 passed, 5 failed, 137 skipped. The five cases in three named CLI/Claude integration files failed the same way on plain dev 7640a942b; these are maintainer-reported baseline comparisons, not independent author reproduction or a full-suite pass. The maintainer also reports passing typecheck, structure, privacy, and 73/73 ratchet/layout/SSOT checks.

The exact-head in-repository mirror ci/pr-6594 was dispatched with lane=all: Cross-platform CI. All executed test/platform/build jobs have passed (25 successful jobs, six conditional skips at last verification). The final ci aggregate was queued at that verification. It later completed successfully, while the run-level API reports cancelled; the latest status qualification is recorded above. Original fork-triggered runs requiring approval are not counted as passing. Current-head required CI and normal maintainer review remain pre-merge requirements. The historical focused-suite exceptions below remain documented.

Maintainer additions (2026-10-15)

Historical author validation before maintainer additions (2026-10-15)

This section records the earlier author-tested head 188b370 before the maintainer's subsequent commits. It is historical evidence, not the current head or current sponsorship state.

  • Earlier published head: 188b3701b6fbad517a899fe58e1922950565d7ed; tree: b104a15ef3887983aaf658a13162e8c386f7507f.
  • Latest dev at refresh: 7640a942b35044c974e534b84d5a8049f4a8ae9a; 0 dev commits behind. This child is one commit above refreshed refactor: break config-facade import cycles (189 -> 59 static cyclic modules) #6454 970cc7071a625b3bd635d27684cd389d1e48ee77. At that time, independent maintainer authentication review and sponsorship were still pending; they are now complete as recorded above.
  • The published tree exactly matches locally tested f832e7b2df4c566d39d153a94de976d7be69207e; only commit metadata differs. Independent range-diff and zero-context added/removed-line comparison found no functional patch change. Upstream context was preserved.
  • Bun 1.4.3 on Linux: 117 passed, 0 failed, 701 assertions across 6 files using the repository's official runner:
bun scripts/test.ts --preload /path/to/offline-preload.ts ./tests/oauth/chatgpt-oauth.test.ts ./tests/oauth/chatgpt-device-auth.test.ts ./tests/oauth/chatgpt-token-expiry.test.ts ./tests/oauth/chatgpt-token-boundaries.test.ts ./tests/lab/core-lab-boundary.test.ts ./tests/ci-workflows/file-size-ratchet.test.ts
  • Also passed: bun --no-install node_modules/typescript/bin/tsc --noEmit, bun scripts/structure-ssot.ts, bun scripts/privacy-scan.ts, and git diff HEAD^ HEAD --check.
  • The official runner isolated homes. A validation-only preload allowed loopback fixture fetches and rejected unmocked external fetches, and removed inherited HTTP/HTTPS/ALL proxy environment variables. The shell started with an empty environment plus disposable HOME and PATH. No user credentials or live account/model requests were used. Existing already-installed dependencies were reused. Initial runner attempts stopped before tests because GUI dependencies were absent and registry DNS resolution failed; after reusing the installed GUI dependencies, the final runs above passed.
  • Full-suite exception: this is an unchanged reviewed-patch replay amid concurrent cloud worktrees, so the focused subsystem regressions and structural checks were run instead of the entire suite/import-connected graph. Inherited parent runtime validation is in refactor: break config-facade import cycles (189 -> 59 static cyclic modules) #6454. The three migrated auth API suites and real login/management dispatch were not executed. Independent source review is not maintainer security approval.
  • At that earlier head, fork-triggered functional workflows were action_required and security sponsorship was pending. These historical results are not passing CI. The subsequent maintainer-sponsored head and its separately dispatched CI are described above.

Summary

This PR remains logically dependent on #6454. The child-only patch changes six authentication-surface source files, four test files, and the runtime ownership documentation. The complete diff against dev also contains the parent refactor.

  • Extract shared browser/device constants and four credential helpers into the type-only-dependent src/oauth/chatgpt-shared.ts leaf; retain their public facade exports.
  • Preserve upstream bounded token requests, sanitized errors, cancellation cleanup, credential validation, and identity-claim inspection.
  • Import the auth handler directly from src/codex/auth-api/routes.ts and cache invalidation directly from src/codex/catalog/routed-gather.ts.
  • Preserve the current dev Desktop compatibility route imports and dispatch calls.
  • Keep three newer auth API tests on the defining handler module and the OAuth constants test aware of the extracted leaf.

Historical validation (2026-10-13)

Updated on 2026-10-13 against dev 2acdb925229f8812cc9db24bfb1b114bfed35ff2.
Published parent #6454: aec25a81d042409d721ac947f652c237ae32b38d.
Published child: 3f74ee221e55826f50341a227df37d637c15d6d2; one commit above the parent.
The published child tree 23f05ca0f6749cba0bd24adc5515d66eba8c3322 matches locally tested candidate 10c3754d058d65de9c9898a7521cb5248c0c33d2. No separate test-isolation batch is bundled.

  • Independent source review found no blocking defect in the child extraction. The production patch-id is identical to previously published 24fce5bd. All four extracted helper bodies are byte-identical to the current parent; the parent OAuth facade is also unchanged from the prior parent. Source equivalence is not a runtime-equivalence proof or maintainer security approval.
  • Bun 1.4.3: bun test ./tests/oauth/chatgpt-oauth.test.ts ./tests/oauth/chatgpt-device-auth.test.ts ./tests/oauth/chatgpt-token-expiry.test.ts ./tests/oauth/chatgpt-token-boundaries.test.ts: 83 pass, 0 fail, 525 assertions.
  • bun test ./tests/lab/core-lab-boundary.test.ts ./tests/ci-workflows/file-size-ratchet.test.ts: 34 pass, 0 fail, 176 assertions.
  • Both focused commands ran from the repository root with its normal home-isolation preload, disposable HOME, and an additional fail-closed network/subprocess guard. OAuth transports are synthetic mocks. The first static run was blocked by the guard's denial of git ls-files; after reviewing that source-only scanner, the final guard allowed only that exact command in this worktree. The final static run passed. No external provider, account, real login, or browser flow was used.
  • node node_modules/typescript/bin/tsc --noEmit, bun scripts/structure-ssot.ts, bun scripts/privacy-scan.ts, and git diff HEAD^ HEAD --check: passed.
  • The three migrated auth API tests pass syntax-only Bun transpilation; they were not executed.

Historical local-suite exception and continuing merge requirements

The full suite/import-connected graph was not run: earlier broad execution was stopped over potentially unmocked authentication/provider traffic, and safe offline execution of that wider graph has not been established. The focused tests and source review cover this narrow extraction; they do not runtime-test management dispatch or non-ChatGPT login cache invalidation. Production auth route bodies, principal forwarding, and invalidation targets are unchanged. Validation of the inherited routing/service refactor is recorded separately in #6454.

Historical source-graph measurement using the repository's value-import matcher: parent→child 59→35 static cyclic modules (5→6 SCCs) and 123→86 including literal dynamic imports (8→8 SCCs). No newly cyclic modules were introduced; added static SCCs split existing components. These are text-scanner measurements, not compiler-complete module execution or runtime coverage. Earlier 56→33 / 120→83 counts apply only to the prior source snapshots.

Current-head required CI must pass before merge; awaiting maintainer execution authorization is not a passing result. The former unsponsored_surface requirement has now been satisfied by the actual maintainer security review and sponsorship linked above; author checklist completion did not supply that approval. After #6454 lands, recheck the resulting dev diff and current-head validation.

Checklist

  • Scope stays focused and avoids unrelated cleanup.
  • Documentation reflects the import ownership changes.
  • Required independent maintainer security-sensitive review and sponsorship are complete.

Review readiness checklist

This PR stays in draft until every box below is ticked. Tick all four boxes once the requirements are met:

  • Required local validation passed; commands, results, and any full-suite exception are documented.

  • I pushed my PR to a recent dev commit (at most 10 behind; a maintainer may still ask for the exact tip before merge).

  • I resolved all correct Codex and CodeRabbit findings.

  • My PR is ready for review.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes

    • Service startup now prefers the port in the launchd configuration and falls back to the configured service port. An already-running service is accepted only when its launch configuration can be read.
    • Deleting a Codex account also clears its health records and manual routing preference.
    • Standalone machine recycling is scheduled through the client runtime when available.
  • New Features

    • Added support for resolving Codex paths and catalog locations from the active Codex home.
    • Improved Claude Messages stream handling with usage tracking, safeguards for stalled or oversized responses, and clearer error reporting.
    • Added shared OAuth credential parsing and provider configuration resolution.
  • Chores

    • Added checks to track import cycles and prevent them from increasing.

src/service/windows-wscript.ts, src/service/windows-scheduler.ts, src/service/windows-guarded-manager.ts, src/service/windows-ops.ts, src/service/windows-taskxml.ts, tests/service/standalone-service.test.ts, tests/codex-integration/codex-service-manager-probe*.test.ts, scripts/test-layout/layout.json, tests/fixtures/test-layout-expected.json
Moves the Windows script-path lookup into its own module and updates platform callers, tests, and test-layout assignments.

Provider configuration resolution

Layer / File(s) Summary
Resolve provider configuration
src/providers/routed-config.ts, src/providers/quota.ts
Adds provider configuration resolution, including registry defaults, API-key selection, destination validation, and discarded-base-URL warning memoization. Quota row projection is dynamically loaded after each account quota entry is fetched.
Wire provider callers and router exports
src/providers/api-key-selection.ts, src/providers/key-failover.ts, src/router.ts, tests/providers/api-key-selection-capture.test.ts, structure/runtime.md, structure/providers-and-adapters.md
Moves the resolver out of the router. Provider callers and the dependency-boundary test now reference its new module; the router re-exports it.

Shared Claude Messages helpers

Layer / File(s) Summary
Implement shared Messages helpers
src/server/messages-shared.ts
Adds usage conversion, SSE stream accounting and guards, tool-call ID sanitization, and request-token estimation.
Connect Messages callers and exports
src/server/claude-messages.ts, src/server/messages-native.ts
The Claude Messages module imports and re-exports the shared helpers. The native Messages module imports them directly.

Codex paths and account cleanup

Layer / File(s) Summary
Resolve active Codex paths
src/codex/paths.ts, src/codex/catalog/parsing.ts, src/codex/app-server-processes.ts
Adds call-time active-home and catalog-path helpers. Catalog parsing re-exports the path helpers, and a caller imports the catalog resolver from paths.ts.
Clear Codex account runtime state
src/codex/account-lifecycle.ts, tests/codex-integration/codex-account-delete-atomicity.test.ts
Account deletion directly removes health rows and manual routing preferences. A test checks that deletion clears the preference that blocked another account.
Import Codex helpers directly
src/codex/account-label.ts, src/codex/native-profile-startup.ts, src/codex/refresh.ts, src/codex/routing/health-store.ts, src/codex/routing/thread-affinity.ts, src/codex/subagent-model-fallback.ts, src/oauth/index.ts, src/server/effort-policy.ts
Updates callers to import account IDs, catalog sync helpers, quota priming, routed-model cache invalidation, and model-effort helpers from more specific modules.

Shared ChatGPT OAuth helpers

Layer / File(s) Summary
Add shared OAuth helpers
src/oauth/chatgpt-shared.ts
Adds shared OAuth constants, JWT decoding, account and email extraction, and token-response conversion.
Use and re-export shared helpers
src/oauth/chatgpt.ts, src/oauth/chatgpt-device.ts, tests/oauth/chatgpt-oauth.test.ts
The device flow imports shared values directly. The existing OAuth module re-exports the helpers, and tests search both modules for constants.

Claude interception policy

Layer / File(s) Summary
Define and wire intercept policy
src/claude/intercept/port-policy.ts, src/claude/intercept/runtime.ts, src/claude/desktop-first-party.ts
Moves interception enablement and port selection into a dedicated policy module. Runtime re-exports the helpers, and the desktop caller imports them directly.

Client disconnect recycling

Layer / File(s) Summary
Pass and test the recycle callback
src/client/runtime.ts, src/client/machine-listener.ts, tests/clients/client-link-runtime.test.ts, tests/clients/client-machine-listener.test.ts
The runtime supplies the standalone recycle callback. The listener no longer dynamically imports the runtime when no callback is provided. Tests cover successful and failed disconnects.

Direct imports for routes and management helpers

Layer / File(s) Summary
Import the Codex auth route directly
src/codex/auth-api.ts, src/server/management-api.ts, tests/codex-integration/*, tests/helpers/*, tests/server/account-pool-management-api.test.ts
Removes the auth route handler from the auth API barrel. Management dispatch and tests import it from the routes module.
Import management and utility helpers directly
src/grok/sync.ts, src/server/management/config-routes.ts, src/server/management/cursor-integration-routes.ts, src/server/management/native-integration-routes.ts, src/routing/profile.ts, structure/runtime.md
Updates callers to import management, combo, and provider helpers from dedicated modules.

Intake at 2f76b7c. Confirmed the dependency on #6454: the delta from its e07f4f1 head is six source files plus tests/oauth/chatgpt-oauth.test.ts (seven files total), while the full PR still includes the parent's broader routing/service refactor. This is a logical dependency, not a different integration target; both currently target dev.

The observed hygiene failure is unsponsored_surface, not a demonstrated runtime failure. Moving constants/functions or recording an author review does not itself satisfy the required independent boundary review or authorize maintainer-sponsored. I am not launching a security/privacy scan under the current maintenance scope. Keep this held for that explicit review and current-head CI; after #6454 lands, recheck the resulting diff, review threads and validation before requesting approval. No label waiver, workflow authorization, branch takeover or merge performed.

Updated source review at child 7fc4bda0275402d2561e79b205a778620d961df5 against the current open parent #6454 32ccac6f77ae452297a94e7a5902eda9d3cd7d41.

The actual child-only delta is still seven files (six source files plus tests/oauth/chatgpt-oauth.test.ts), not the entire 67-file diff against dev. I compared the complete source text of decodeJwtPayload, extractAccountId, extractEmail and credsFromToken: each moved function is byte-identical to its current parent definition. The shared leaf has only a type import; the ChatGPT facade retains the six moved re-exports. The separate auth-api handler re-export is deliberately removed and management dispatch imports its defining routes module directly.

This is new exact-parent/child source-equivalence evidence, not an authentication review, executed import-cycle count, or proof of runtime equivalence for the parent's routing/service changes. The Verification section still cites the older dabaed484 base comparison; please identify what validation applies to current parent+child and distinguish carried unchanged-function evidence from a fresh combined-head run.

Current checks 111639438647 and 111639412553 fail with unsponsored_surface; that is a review/sponsorship gate, not a demonstrated runtime failure. #6454 is still open, so this dev-targeted dependency is not a wrong-base finding. After the parent lands, recheck the resulting dev diff and current-head verification rather than treating these seven files as unconditional integration coverage.

No local tests ran while foreign Cargo/rustc work was live. No scan, sponsorship, CI execution authorization, approval or merge is supplied by this source review.

Adds scripts/import-cycles.ts (static value-import graph + Tarjan SCCs, same edge rules as the INV-LAB-01 walker) and tests/ci-workflows/import-cycle-ratchet.test.ts. The baseline lists the 59 modules still on a cycle after this PR; a new cyclic module fails, a resolved one must be dropped with --update, and src/config.ts, server/lifecycle.ts, responses/core.ts and management-api.ts must sit on no cycle. Recorded as INV-LAYER-01 for lidge-jun#6386.
…ycles

The OAuth/auth-api extraction takes src/router.ts and 23 other modules off the last large component, so the ratchet baseline drops them and router.ts joins the entrypoints that must sit on no cycle.

Maintainer security review of the auth-surface part of this PR (src/oauth/, src/codex/auth-api.ts, src/server/management-api.ts), done against head 7afc9e5f8:

  • src/oauth/chatgpt-shared.ts: decodeJwtPayload, extractAccountId, extractEmail and credsFromToken are byte-identical to the bodies removed from src/oauth/chatgpt.ts (checked with a line diff). The client id and token URL are the same constants. chatgpt.ts re-exports all six, so existing import sites and the device grant still share one public PKCE client and one token parser. The access-token validation and finite-expiry clamps are unchanged.
  • src/codex/auth-api.ts drops the handleCodexAuthAPI re-export. No production or test caller imports it from the facade any more; management dispatch now loads ./codex/auth-api/routes directly. The facade has no top-level statements, so skipping it at dispatch skips no registration or side effect. Principal forwarding and the convergeCodexCatalog argument are unchanged.
  • src/oauth/index.ts loads clearGatherRoutedModelsInflight from codex/catalog/routed-gather, which is the defining module the codex/catalog barrel re-exported. It is the same function, and that barrel has no import-time side effects either.

No credential is logged, serialized or newly exposed, and no route, auth check or token flow changes. Applying maintainer-sponsored.

Verification for the maintainer additions, at head 7afc9e5f8:

  • Cross-platform CI, dispatched with lane=all on the in-repo mirror ci/pr-6594 (same commit): run 38698228798. Linux test 1-4/4, gates, docker smoke, storage policy, api usage, macOS 1-3/3 + control + widget/bundle + desktop shell, Windows 1-9/9, and both keyring jobs passed. The final ci aggregate job is still queued behind the runner backlog.
  • Local full bun run test on 7afc9e5f8 (the child head, which contains this whole stack), macOS: 46,671 pass, 5 fail, 137 skip. The 5 failures are 3 tests in tests/cli/cli-access-audio-live.test.ts, tests/cli/sibling-home-client-sync.test.ts and tests/claude-integration/claude-desktop-remote-hub.test.ts; rerunning those three files on plain dev 7640a942b fails the same 5 cases the same way, so they predate this stack and pass in CI.
  • bun run typecheck, bun run structure:check, bun run privacy:scan pass; the ratchet test, file-size ratchet, structure SSOT and test-layout tests pass (73/73).
  • With maintainer-sponsored applied, hygiene passes on this head. The PR stays draft until the author ticks the last readiness box; the security part of that is now done.

I investigated the three baseline files on Linux with Bun 1.4.3, using frozen dev 7640a942b and an exact source-tree reconstruction of child 7afc9e5f8 (tree 720166c080445ce449782acbe8788c910a2b4291).

One reproducible issue is the three audio non-readiness parameterizations: scripts/test.ts sets OCX_TEST_FULL_SUITE=1, so isolationBudgetMs(20) becomes 5000 ms, equal to Bun's default test deadline. The readiness timer plus closure/assertions therefore exceeds that deadline. Changing only the test deadline to 15 s makes the audio file pass 36/36; CI already uses 60 s. A scoped explicit deadline for these negative cases looks appropriate.

The cloud environment also produced remote-hub lifecycle-lock failures because its /tmp ownership fails the existing safety check. Running unchanged code in a private user/mount namespace with a standard root-owned 1777 /tmp removes that environment failure. With that namespace and the 15 s deadline, both frozen trees pass all 71 tests in the three files. The sibling-home file passes here. These cloud observations do not establish the identities or causes of your five macOS failures.

Could you share the five failing case names and full assertion/stack output, any nested error cause, your Bun version, and the exact rerun command (including relevant CI/OCX_TEST_FULL_SUITE settings)? Please redact tokens, credentials, conversation/request payloads, and other private data. That will let us map each original failure rather than stop at 'also fails on dev'.

lidge-jun#5947, lidge-jun#7120 and maintainer lidge-jun#7147. lidge-jun#7077 is already in upstream.
Use lidge-jun#7147 recovery without restoring the obsolete lidge-jun#7098 prefix gate.

Preserve previous personal dev as first parent and retain its DSH
profile patch and real-home write protection through the newer
upstream implementations. Keep backup/dev-before-integration-20261015.

Validated typecheck, structure, privacy and file-size gates, plus
focused isolated synthetic/local-fixture regression tests. This is
source integration only; no release, installation or deployment.

#6759, #6930, #6603, #6758) (#7217)

Carried from #6759, #6930, #6603, #6758 (one commit per source PR, original authors preserved). Retention across account/model switches is opt-in and defaults off.

Remote validation (hosted GitHub Actions unreliable; local tests not run by maintainer rule): union candidate codex/prr-integ-8 = dev c03eafd + #7224 + #7223 + #7225 + #7217 + #6454 + #6594 plus a Gentle Shell import-cycle fix (integ-9 e1f289c: typecheck + full suite on mini (Windows) and lidge (Linux), compared with the same host's dev runs) and a test-only Windows path-escaping fix for the reasoning-retention routing test (integ-10 0d4cba7, tree a2b309a: that file re-run on both hosts).

…modules) (#6454)

Contributed by @lcxhh521; refreshed onto dev by the maintainer (dev merge, deferred quota account-row edge to keep the cycle baseline from growing).

Maintainer integration decision (dev, MAINTAINERS.md maintainer-integration policy): landing this PR at head 96ea459 as part of batch 2 of the 2026-10-16 PR-reduction round.

Hosted GitHub Actions were unreliable and the maintainer ruled out local test runs for this round, so the evidence is remote and exact-tree:
